I agree -- the 32% boost I had was good enough for flash but now if it is removed then I'm going to be mad and glad at the same time. I'm going to be mad because 1) All the work I put in b/p is going to not have any effect and 2) All of us will have a lower voting power than Pimp or Bomb or level 60 guys, and I'm going to be glad because 1) I may not have to increase b/p anymore.

I don't know your daily routine but I'm amazed to hear the programs will return as soon as that. Best of luck and your work on all of this is always appreciated from myself. I just wish I could give you something in return.

I'd like to profusely apologise for my brief time away, I was whipped up into quite a bit of drama and turbulence in real life and ended up with little time to spend here, however now the whole episode is over I'll be able to return here and spend my spare time once again lurking the forums, protecting the portal and working with icons. Today's a fairly good time for that, I think, considering the redesign has just launched - it also means that I'll be able to use the lovely new kittyface mood icon - which is particularly great.

The FAQ page on voting power, although lacking, does still say that voting power is based on XP and B/P so it's probably still there, just not displayed anywhere, although it should be.

Holy jumping mother o' god in a side-car with chocolate jimmies and a lobster bib! Loving the redesign so far, familiar yet different. It will take a lot of getting used to, particularly the changes to the Portal (resisting temptation to use Classic mode until I get a feel for the new one) but overall, once the kinks are worked out, I'm sure it'll be fantastic.

I'm not sure, but from the looks of it that isn't actually changed, even if things look different. A few visual hints are slightly modified and in some cases lost, but the underlying system appears to be identical. As for the icons, I'm not too sold on them, but a few are very nice. They fit the design better than the old ones, I believe, although the older B/P rank icons seem to look fine here.

Just for the record: the B/P modifiers are broken right now, but they'll be back up as soon as the staff get around to fixing them. You've not lost any B/P or anything; it's just not counting towards your overall voting power right now.

It's gonna take me a long time to get used to this redesign but I'm a fan of it so far! It's good that we get an entire page just for Under Judgement flashes -- by the looks of it, it's harder to simply blind vote your way through them since the filesizes aren't displayed at first glance. I'm still getting accustomed to the whole thing so far, looks like a whole new website, much bigger change than the 07 redesign. And look at these sexy new emotes.

I know that it still counts for B?P but just not shown -- but I don't see any option for me to report a flash as stolen or anything, it just shows an advertisement, the pico voting bar and the review box. Did I just miss seeing something or is it omitted for the time being?

From what I've hear they are going to iron out some of the minor bugs as they go along. I was worried with the whistles that they would clean everybody's slate and we'd all end up with normal again. It's taken me over two years and I still don't have a silver whistle, so I would not have been most pleased.

What most of us have always wanted, flash mods, are finally being added. Whistles are being removed because it could be abused, I guess. I'm not sure why they would remove whistles before they have added the flash mods, though.

Flash Mods are going to be added and a diffrent system I think, also at the moment, just ask a Genre mod to add the tag "Deletion" to it if it breaks the rules.

About freakin damn time we got some flash mods.

We'll have to come up with a system for everyone in the Barracks to abide by then when content is found to be reported.

My suggestion is that whoever finds the flash first should notify a flash mod (once these exist) and then notify the barracks here, so that no else messages the flash mod. Otherwise we'd end up spamming their inbox.

Maybe the flash mods will come from this group and then they will know to check here often for reported rule breaking flashes.

B/P ranking? As far as I know that still works perfectly normal, albeit with a temporary removal of B/P modifiers (I assume it's temporary) and without the option to flag due to Flash mods, which is certainly a great idea - although I'd think it would make sense to have both systems and treat it like reviews.

Ever since the whistle was removed, albeit temporarily, the user 3DS has been submitting stolen flash. It even says "I DID NOT MAKE THIS GAME..." etc.

Voting 0 just means "I want that the flash doesn't pass". At the end of the month Tom will introduce flash portal mods who take care of such flashes, and the flagging of flashes will then work similiar to the flagging of reviews. For now, genre mods give such submissions the tag "deletion", so that it will be dealt with. In this case, I did that and locked the tag, so that the author can't change it.

Yes, they can do this. That has been implented with the redesign, to make sure that authors who abuse the system by giving their flashes unsuiting tags can't change them back when a genre mod gives the flash correct tags. For becoming one, simply send a pm to Tom. You are an icon mod, so it makes sense when you can give flashes also the right genre and good search tags.

Actually, genre mods have been able to lock tags ever since Tom's original recruitment. The only difference prior to redesign was that if a genre mod edited the submission's details, it would automatically lock the tags which was fine with me either way since my tags always matched to the tagging guidelines which I wrote myself. Still, now it's just a matter of locking tags on spam submissions. I wouldn't worry about anything else.

I'm getting used to the new redesign gotta say I love the new colors on this site, much more colorful then the old orange look. Still not sure about the new level icons, when I level up I will get what looks like the ghost from Ghostbuster for level 43. Not a patch on the old one. I like the new levels the retro look is cool reminds me of the old levels of 2006. I just miss my old level and the cool voting bar is now gone shame.
