RAWR!

Thanks for all your help and involvement in cleaning up the daily mess. Nothing like leading by example! BTW, you could never be a robot - you're far too chaotic for that! However, cybernetic augmentation could be useful for certain things...hehehehe

Yes... yes that could be the answer to all of my problems.

Stay strong, my friend.

Well, I've got the funeral on Thursday, so we'll see what that brings, aside from tense encounters with some of my former teachers. I'll find a way through, I always do. Now that I've finished writing chapter 3 of the story I'm working on, the only way is up, so Chapter 4 it is!

Another returnee coming back swinging!

Thanks, Byte. I'm always happy to have a good swing. :3 I'm managing to average at roughly fourty B/P per day the last few days, despite a terrible performance on Saturday, only gaining fifteen B/P despite having spent hours upon hours in the portal - a lot of things passing that I didn't believe should have in addition to the fact that the few blams that did come in I kept on narrowly missing (there are few moments I hate more than voting 0/1 on a flash only to get the alert message notifying you that it already has been blammed and no longer exists).

I'm really looking for that A grade B/P which would require me upping my average a bit, which dropped quite a lot a few days ago when I got just 15 in a day, and is now 36 after a few lacklustre gains. Generally I'm gaining about forty or so now per day and I'm hoping to bump the average for the entire month up to four more than that.

By the way, are anyone else having issues opening this game?

After the preloader it crashed for me and every time since I've opened it the moment I open the Flash plugin crashes. From the looks of it, he's had a game of the same name flagged for administrative review, too, but I'm cautious as it got further previously. Are anyone else having issues with it crashing?

This.

I have an inkling that this entry might be against Newgrounds policy. Could an Elite Guard or other person with considerable experience take a look into the matter and return their thoughts on this?

Yes, it's basically racist in every way, shape and form possible, so flag it as hateful, so we can kill it with fire.

I don't think I'll be making anything soon. I have a few flash projects I want to do, but nothing amazing enough to brag about. :P Anyway, married life and work is enough for me right now. After the holidays I plan on writing a book and hopefully it turns out well.

It seems to have passed regardless of the fact that through the latter part of the Flash it's little more than a slideshow of racist imagery and slurs to the tune of some pretty interesting atmospheric music. It's a disappointment, because when I first heard the audio before the whole KKK thing set in I was expecting quite an interesting Flash.

In part, that's true, but not in the positive sense at all.

I've just finished reporting the entry to Wade, a bit of a shame that the entry passed judgment, but I suppose it might have something to do with the fact that it was posted in the dead of night, when most of the more sensible Newgrounders have gone to bed apparently.

The flash looked racist to me don't know how it passed I will report it to Tom Fulp. Yes Xmas is soon here only, another 11 days or so the year has flown by. I wonder when there will be a christmas theme. Nice to see Skyrim has it own collection page now about time!

There's been so many Skyrim and Minecraft flashes lately, it's kind of ridiculous. I like the Minecraft ones but Skyrim is not my cup of tea.

To be honest I gave up gaming around 6 months ago. I sold all of my consoles (other then my PS2 and a few choice game, which I play on very rarly) and have no desire to buy another one again, modern games simply don't interest me. I'd much rather play a flash game on Newgrounds and try get some more medals then play COD or anything like that.

Because of this I can't really watch, vote, review or simply enjoy most of these game parody flashs. I would most probibly not get half of the jokes.

RE: ADMISSION OF CORPORAL AFRO-MANN INTO THE BARRACKS
========================================
==========

As of 14-DEC-2011 @ 10:10 GMT Corporal Afro-Mann has been accepted into the barracks by popular vote. Please join me in welcoming our newest member as we continue the fight against spam, garbage, porn and all things vile against that which is the portal. I will add him to the Roster database, and I ask Commander Jolly to officially mark him as ACTIVE in the Barracks Roster.

Welcome aboard, Corporal! Now, go grab yourself that blam rifle and get to work . It's not a pretty job, but someone has to do it - and we do it the best!

Some of them can be rather enjoyable even if a few of the jokes aren't things that you particularly get. I'm personally a huge Elder Scrolls fan (despite having not yet played Skyrim, although after I build a new rig hopefully in a month or so I should be able to), however right now I'm finding most of the inside jokes to become a bit of a drag - especially the most commonly used 'arrow in the knee' thing, which I believe I've discussed in this thread previously.

At 12/14/11 11:10 AM, SCTE3 wrote: I don't get the "arrow to the knee" joke either but whatever I guess.

The whole thing's based on a line given to all guards in every city. Occasionally when you walk past any of them they claim that they used to be an adventurer before taking an arrow in the knee and as such being stuck inside the city. It's a pretty funny line considering there are dozens of different characters with the same rather strange line, however all of this response to it just isn't funny, especially from people whom have not even played the game themselves - it's just a huge unfunny bandwagon at this point.

I like the layout. Welcome to the force, Afro-Mann. I see he is a Corporal - another person a few hundred points away from me to chase. Hopefully you shall enjoy your stay here at the barracks!

In other news, today is my birthday. It feels amazing to have thought that another year of my life has passed by, but so much has happened over the past year that it's amazing - it seems that it may be been a little bit too much for me to continue living life so differently so I'm back to square one where I like it. I'm just fifteen now, in hindsight that's very little time, however it feels like a lot to me. :3

I do a bit of everything, play flash games and play PC games, make flash and music (or horrible noises) and earn medals, make icons and so forth. But then I can play flash games while playing other games, multi-tasking FTW oh and that 8GB of RAM.

This one seems a little suspicious.

At first glance, it looks like a legitimate entry, it has an extensive description in the Author's Comments, and a legitimate looking loading screen. Then it happens. "Error! This game is not available for distribution yet." I don't know about you, but this is an immediate red flag for me. It might very well be a sitelock feature that was triggered. Whether it was done by a mistake by the "author" or as a legitimate result of theft is beyond me. So, I decided to turn to you guys for assistance, what do you think? Also, I managed to get a screenshot of the loading screen showing what may be the creator's name and online alias.

I looked at it, but since I don't have any proof of anything I just gave it a 0 and moved on. Hopefully if it doesn't get flagged the user will be smart enough to vote fairly and move on. However, if it does pass well (Insert Facepalm here)

But on another note everyone here have a merry Christmas and happy new year

Both of the new ones have, too, been flagged into oblivion now. Do anybody know why ZoneSama has their flash stolen so much more regularly than most other authors? Each time they're instantly recognised from having their logos all over the place and never get past judgement, and yet time and time again somebody else decides it's a good idea to use their flashes.

Maybe they think they can get away with it due to the blind voting of some users. I mean in all honestly the last thing that was posted was a broken game but guess what? It pass with a score of 2.35! If it was a before this stupid wake of blind protection began shit like that would have been blammed not blindly protected.

Or it could be that the theives of that stuff want to give the masses Blam and whistle points. But if that is the case then hey need to due the honest user a favor and stop.

Hateful flash:

"Merry Christmas Faggot" is a pretty harsh name for a flash - flag as unsuitable.

is it possible to flag a review as abusive, on a flash which has been blammed?

Nope. As you see on any eulogy page, the reviews do appear however the ability to mark them does not exist, likely for the sole reason that nobody really look at the eulogies for dead Flashes. Pretty much the only exception, the author, is usually the person most likely to find offense from an abusive review, however even if he flags it nobody else would come across it, most likely. It'd just end up being a waste of review mod time.

I've never had a flash blammed, I imagine that it's a pretty bad feeling to see your flash in that dreaded list. Then again some of the crap that gets though it has to be pretty bad.

My first submission ever got blammed, it's not that bad and the reviews for it wheren't abusive, not one was insulting but this was back in 2006 when a flash under judgement would get more than 2 reviews while UJ.

Some of the things that get blammed can be better than some of the things that get passed.

I feel sorry for Zone-Sama having there stuff stolen sucks, but that author does seem to get stuff stolen maybe more then other authors. Sad to see a broken game pass with a score of 2.35! disgraceful blind voting! Anyway congrats to Afro-Mann welcome to EGB. As to reviews which go to the obituaries with the flash, I still like to check what other bad reviews the person wrote.

It could be because people like porn and they either think that they can treat Newgrounds as a place to share things they like or they have been around for a while, made an alt because they know that porn is populare.

Nowadays, it probably stings the pride a lot more than it would have in the late 90s or early 21st Century. With the way that any old crap gets protected these days, you can get a lot more peeved if you get 0s to start with. Hell, you should make it better, but people don't seem to put the same effort in as they used to.

You know what would be nice to prevent blind voting of 5 or 0? Mandatory reviewing for one of those votes, that way someone has to say why they voted 5 or 0 and maybe also show how they voted in the review, so if they voted 0 and reviewed 10, it would show up. And if someone reviewed without voting, this could be displayed as N/A which can be used where data isn't avalible if it isn't for going to past submissions.
