Ah, alright thanks, well I should be improving on the ones from the past because I no longer have any major commitments, unless a really good game comes out but even then, I play windowed mode and multitask.
HO HO HOPE you become a Newgrounds Supporter this year!
We're working hard to give you the best site possible, but we have bills to pay and community support is vital to keep things going and growing. Thank you for considering!

Hello, and good evening/half one, Guards. I'm a past member of the barracks whom was unfortunately forced to resign from duty due to real-life commitments in the past. My life has become far less hectic since, however, and now I'm once again able to spend a lot of my day on Newgrounds, as I have been doing over the past week or so. For this reason, I wish to reapply to the force, and was wondering if I have to undergo initiation once again in order to do so. I'm going to sleep now, as it's half one here and I have just a few hours to be up, however hopefully in the morning I'll be able to check up again. I assume Byte is still in charge of this sort of thing, she seemed to be the previous time. Thank you in advance.

Now as it seems, the activity on NG has been a bit... Slow as of late.
I posted more then I had for a while last month. I guess I'm not effected by whatever is getting some of the other users.
Byte almost reaching a whole 3 YEARS on the Top 5 Gainers. She's a machine! Haha.
That is quite impressive, congrats Byte.

I made quite the sizeable jump up this month (for me anyway). I wonder when I will get the next promotion. At my average rate it'll take sometime.

Welcome back, PFC EmmDubya! I have reviewed your records and based on the facts that:
(a) you requested leave (you were NOT marked AWOL)
(b) you did keep in touch from time to time and
(c) your account activity and status is at or above acceptable levels for the Barracks
you will NOT need to go through re-initiation; in fact, I have just reactivated you in the data system.
We need everyone we can to be active in the Barracks; I hope to see you fighting the good fight alongside all of us.
Commander Jolly, if you would be so kind as to confirm that PFC EmmDubya has now returned to active duty, that would be appreciated.
Welcome back, soldier! Now, grab that blam rifle and get to work - the job didn't get any easier!

Thanks for allowing me to rejoin despite my long inactive stint. I'll be trying far harder in order to progress - thus far this week I've been operating at roughly 40B/P per day, albeit with far fewer blams than I'm used to - despite the fact that I vote 0-1 on pretty much an equal number of Flashes as I do 2-5. Luckily, there seems to be a lot less spam, however, despite a lot of Flashes which are naturally not too impressive getting through.

Pfft, I'd have been one month behind her on the top 5 gainers list, had it not been for a little bit of save whoring from some of our other members. She still has 15,000 points to go to catch me, I should be able to overhaul 100,000 B/P by quite some distance before she finally catches me.

Good evening, Lizz.
Well for starters, I'm back.
I have to say - this could not have come at a better time, I'm looking forward to once again being in B/P competition with you, for the first time since the opening months of 2009 - although right now we're not exactly close in our totals, being on the same roster alone once again is enough to provoke yet more nostalgia for me.
Please bear with me while I get into the swing of things. I'm a little rusty. Haha. However, this also means that Jolly will still be presenting the rosters. NOTHING will change at all, instead I will write the introductions to the rosters and Jolly will post that, along with the actual roster. Confusing, no?
A joint Jolly-Lizzardis roster sounds great, each of you playing to your strengths. As I have only returned in the past few days, the only introduction I have read was your own, however that was certainly a very fitting one, although I found out it was yours pretty soon after. :3
I do hope none of you become confused by this. I'm helping out Jolly, and in return, he's giving me that comeback I need in order to be a part of NG again.
Good, now don't do what I used to do in the NGPD and Wi/Ht? regulars list and claim you're returning and then not be seen until you do the exact same again in three months or so. ;D
I'm glad to be back. *salutes*

LIZZ!!!!!! Great to hear from you again!!!! :)
I have to say, I'm glad you've kept the place nice.
Well, I started ranting about all the dirty underwear strewn about, but no one listened...so I gathered them ALL up and washed them in hot water with a few pair of cheap red socks I found at Walmart, Yes, the pink underwear clashes with the camo, but no one is admitting to it. I think they've gotten the point...
First of all, I apologise for the absence. I know I said a couple of weeks ago, I would like to come back and be a bit more "active" and then I just disappeared after gaining a measly... Three... B/P points. It's a let down, i understand, however I do come bearing some good news.
No apologies needed. I've been keeping an eye on you, and I know you've been really busy - and really happy - IRL. But it's always good to hear good news.
Yesterday I had a nostalgic moment in the NGPD thread. It was there, that my decision to return to NG, the EGB and being a liaison for the NGPD was made. Permanently. Then I received a surprising message from our own Roster Manager Jolly.
He finally told you that you were the father of his children?????
After a quick chat, he thought that by my post in the NGPD, I was missing being a roster manager, now while that is true... I declined his offer of giving me back the managing of the roster. Instead, we talked about how it could be improved. Jolly said he wasn't "very good" at the intros to the rosters. I didn't see anything wrong with them, and thought he was doing a perfect job.
Ohhh...THAT news - forget the whole "father" thing - I think he confused you with Coop...all you Englishmen look the same to him, you know! As for his intros - so, he's a little tongue-tied. No harm in that...
However, I offered to be a part of the roster once again, and write the intros for him. After a quick check up with good ol' Byte, she accepted our offer of me being a part of the roster once again.
Did you really have to add in "ol'"????? Sheesh.... Just because I have a few years on you....Anyways, yes, of course, I think it is a good idea. Keeps you both occupied and (hopefully) out of trouble.
So what does this mean?
That Meatloaf is going back on tour????

OH...yeah...it does mean that. I don't think you're rusty...maybe a little cruddy around the ears, but not rusty...JK!
Confusing, no?
No, but this is: If a chicken and a half can lay an egg and a half in a day in a half, how much wood could a woodchuck chuck if Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers while Little Miss Muffet sat on her Tuffet (what the heck is a tuffet????) and ate the spider that sat down beside her?
I do hope none of you become confused by this. I'm helping out Jolly, and in return, he's giving me that comeback I need in order to be a part of NG again.

We're glad to have you back Lizz! Good to hear you'll be getting involved in the Roster in a small way again, though Jolly has done an exemplary job since taking over. That said, it also gives Jolly a bit of freedom; less work to do on preparing an intro and also in case of extraordinary circumstances he can give you a heads up to do the full thing. I'm sure you two will make a great Dynamic Duo for the EGB!
Resist temptation to make an Ambiguously Gay Duo joke...
Anyway, great to have you back buddy.

A few minutes after it was submitted I sent a polite message to the submitter asking whom the original author was, however it yielded no response. I'm actually surprised that the Flash passed in the first place, along with a few other low-standard ones coming in. Once again, like most of them, the moment it passes and people start voting less blindly the score begins to fall towards the blam threshold. There are three like that which I have viewed only in the past few hours.

Haha! That same account seems to be churning out one low-medium quality animal dressup game after another, they've really started to lose their charm since the masterpiece 'Dress Up Pretty Goat'. That error exemplifies their lack of effort, doing nothing but copy and pasting their descriptions across games without even looking out for obvious errors. At least they're far from the worst that I see and have redeeming values. Admittedly, although repetitive, their Dressups do have above-standard art and aren't badly set out at all.

Afternoon, everyone.
My November totals were pretty low, even by my standards. Real life has picked up the pace for me, and I will be transferring colleges in January. I'm not sure what that will mean for me yet, but I expect tougher classes.
Anyway, has anyone else noticed a lot of really bad canned games last month? I made a few threads about them, in fact. It seemed like once a week, Tom goes back and simply deletes them all. How do they manage to get through in the first place? I never knew Newgrounds had something for dressing up mermaids and stuff like that. It's getting ridiculous.

I actually like some of the dress up games that exist, some of them are bad, I made a bunch of icons for some that just had the dress up as buttons to change and not drag and drop, although it had a print option.
Some of them are lame but tell me that you don't think my pony is pretty, I dare you!

Even without the real life thing the portal seems really slow and even more save-oriented than before. I've been in the portal all day long and gotten just eighteen saves today. D:

There have been dozens of near-identical dressup games relating to various different animals that I've noticed, mainly uploaded by sheeparcade. They're relatively well produced, however I can't see how they manage to make money from them, considering they only get a few hundred views each before dropping from the most recent fifty submissions and fading into obscurity.

I am not getting the urge to re-play that game.
That is a cool picture of a pony Little-Rena I noticed for ages now about MLP or MyLittlePonies craze on this site even a fan club for it. Nice to see you on here Lizzardis you have leveled up right? I'm not level 42 but I did not notice at first. Cool weapon though. I have seen a few Skyrim flashes not bad, but I would rather play the game.
At 12/4/11 07:41 PM, Lizzardis wrote: I promise you Mike... I WILL be in competition with you soon. ;D
That's good, for I've had a pretty naff start to this month, the last few days have been terrible for me, I got 200 B/P with pretty decent ratio at the end of last month in five days, however my average has dropped from that to only about twenty in the last few days despite me having spent hours upon hours - there seems to be less Flash, and even moreso less blams.
That hopefully wont be happening here, while I'm not promising a post every day, I'll at least stay active and use catch up posts (Such as this one) in order to stay in the game here.
Of course. :3 Posting every day can be pretty difficult, if things come up or there's simply nothing really to respond to. Luckily, usually your posts are done in the catchup manner and as such give a lot to respond to. :3
Besides... Wasn't this place supposed to be having a redesign at the end of autumn or something?
I think Newgrounds is running on Valve time when it comes to this update.

Yeah, the brony thing's been around on the *chans for a long while now, I watched a few episodes myself a while back, but in the past few months it's really broke out into the mainstream, still primarily online however all of the meme-spewers I know IRL seem to have jumped on the bandwagon over the past two or three weeks. It's gotten huge.
I have seen a few Skyrim flashes not bad, but I would rather play the game.
Skyrim Flashes are everywhere, which ignites my desire to finally play it even moreso than before. The Elder Scrolls is my favourite series of games, in addition to Morrowind and Oblivion being my second and fourth favourite games of all time respectively, however right now I'm using a pretty aged laptop and due to the destitute settings and resolution I had to resort to using even in Oblivion, a six year old game, it's not really worth trying on here. I will, however, sometime in the new year be building a new rig which, looking at the recommended specs, run Skyrim full settings without breaking a sweat. Of course, Skyrim isn't the most intensive of games at all right now on the hardware, but it's certainly my most anticipated and the reason I've dedicated the last year and a half towards saving up money to go on my existing pile in order to upgrade. I spent months of my life just lurking the Bethesda forums for information on it.
Over the past few weeks I've actually been starting on a Flash which I aspire to, pretty much, become a huge Elder Scrolls encyclopaedia. Right now I've only created about fifteen frames of information, however I plan to eventually get around to completing a few hundred at the very least, to give insight to all of the new people whom have decided to pick up Skyrim as their first game in the series. My best friend in real life has been playing it a lot, however has never played any previous games in the series and when sitting with him as we were playing it I realised a lot of the references he simply missed out on, and it's the cobwebbing of so much information that makes the world of Nirn so much more believable and deep in my eyes. I need to work on expanding it to contain recent Skyrim information, too, however that'll likely come after I've gotten some more of the basics sorted out.

I'd rather that when the place is redesigned, the issues have mostly been ironed out, rather than releasing one big glitch onto one and all, saying "tah-dah!" and expecting praise for unfinished work.
Don't forget, Newgrounds is a bespoke website - hand crafted with luff by a crack team of drunks, smokers and insomniacs.

I'm not knocking it - I actually love the design as is and am pretty nervous as to how the new one is going to be like even when completed, although I'm sure that the redesign's going to turn out well, even if out of shock there's some initial negativity - even if it's an improvement people tend to not take change too well.

It's already been stated by Tom that the redesign is done, but he's just waiting for enough icons to get finished so when it's implicated there isn't a bunch of holes in the website. If you guys want it to get done sooner you could always help out by making icons. The admins have done what they need to, it's up to the rest of us to finish.

Ah, that's interesting to hear, I've been away for a while and have as such missed a lot of the news. In between B/Ping and posting over the next few weeks I might get back to work on the creation of icons, I actually find doing so quite... therapeutic. A while ago I made quite a few and ended up as an icon mod, however from the looks of it that was revoked during my long period of activity. I will probably start making a few once I get home once again after a brief trip out this afternoon.

It is funny that you mention this, because I wanted to say that I am still active but I don't post on the forums and in this thread much because I became an icon moderator recently. I am working a lot on making icons for flashes every day, as you might know.

Take a little less time beta testing and go back and judge some of those writing competitions that need to be done from months ago. In fact, if you want both of us can sit down and go through all of the threads that need to be judged. I think there may only be two left.

I have a nice little program. Click, drag, newgrounds crops it for me, done. Even though it takes a little bit longer because I watch the entire movie, read the first page of reviews, and make the genres as well.
