Yea a lot of people are guilty of not reading the fine print. I know I do the same thing too often. It happens to all of us, but it's even more of a reason for us to be on the lookout for things like that.

If you wanna get a deity whistle, this guy writes some reviews that really piss me off. I've flagged 3 just by chance of seeing them in games, so I decided to check out his reviews and I think I'm up to 6 now. Guy's a real asshole. I only went through a few pages but I'm sure it's a goldmine.

Just a quick re-iteration of the reason that Rage's Gift to you: Abusive Reviews was locked back in the day here:

Basically, the place descended into madness, with people arbitrarily flagging all reviews that were linked within the thread, as opposed to reading what the well meaning users had to say about the links.

It was encouraged forcefully for all users not to try to recreate this thread and as a result, we do request that people don't try to do this in other threads as well.

We cannot control what you send in PMs (as much), but we can control what you write on the BBS, so please stick to the abusive flash watch here. Thanks.

Quite unfortunate. I miss that thread, and even though I've already reached the deity whistle I love finding terrible and offensive reviews and helping keep them out of flash authors works. Too bad we can't share our findings anymore in a club against abusive reviews anymore, but I guess it's not really that big of a deal. I noticed it was gone and I think someone mentioned it to me before but I didn't realize there was a rule against posting any abusive reviews at all. It has been noted though, Coop, I won't be posting any more of those ;) That link would have been especially bad for people to go flagging like maniacs because he actually did have a lot of okay reviews. I think I ended up finding 10 pretty bad ones though.

Oh well, I'm doing my fair share of keeping junk reviews out of the portal though. If I would have posted all the ones I found it would have been almost nostalgic to see a classic abusive reviews list ;) I got a deity whistle so I might as well use it is the way I see it.

Feels great keeping offensive assholes and total garbage reviews out of an author's work. It's a shame people have to ruin it by flagging like robots without thinking. I'm actually still kinda shocked to hear that people did that...wtf is wrong with people? lol...

It hurts me even more then anyone else (I think) when I found out that happened to my favorite thread. I was able to beat the old flagging system back then and hold Deity for myself until wade changed the whistle system thanks to that thread. But that is what happens when noobs as well as trigger happy user don't read the rules flag everything blindly trying to get a deity whistle only to get garbage ones because they "DON'T READ THE REVIEWS!" It is that kind of stupidity that I am glad that the admins didn't make the whistle points visible to the public because it would be over 20 times worse.

I had completely forgotten about the Halloween levels! Can someone link us to all of them so we can get them all? Please? I am glad that I know we won't be bombarded with customers at the restaurant tonight, as everybody will be celebrating Halloween tonight, instead of tomorrow. Mainly because of the fact that Halloween falls on a Sunday this year.

On another note, I just had another fender bender this morning. :'( I ended up being charged with failure to yield so that such movement could be made safely. The morning sun was in my eyes and I couldn't see the other car. It's mainly just some paint transfer, nothing more. But this accident isn't coming off my insurance until March 2014. *cries*

That's about it as far as stuff happening here. In other news, Eagle gifted me TF2 on the 11th and that is the main reason why I have been lurking more instead of posting. I've been posting only to let the others know I'm still among the living.(for now........89 years in the future however, that's another story. lmao)

I know the feeling. 12 hours 5 days a week to come home to a crappy computer that doesn't load flashes fast enough to get all the UJ ones before they get saved/blammed is my ball and chain. We used to get 100 a week no problem. Haha.

Anyways, I'm glad to hear that you're spending more time IRL than you are here - it's too late for me, save yourself! Personally, I think Sophie is the best thing that ever happened to you. As for your question, Rabid - I am an independent consultant who spends WAY TOO MUCH TIME in front of computers - and I have internet access pretty much anywhere I go. I am online 7 days week, and my work schedule is always changing. To keep my sanity, I run Portal Guard and keep an eye on newgrounds all the time - it's way cheaper than becoming an alcoholic or dropping into the depths of massive psychosis (oh, wait - already did that second thing...nevermind!). Not much of a family life (long story) - single and professional, for many reasons.

I enjoy it here - there's a lot of good people in the EGB, and I really feel welcome. Hope that helps explain things!
