Yea there are those few rare cases. The GP(General Population) of NG, tends to think high profile users usually have shitloads of posts. Most of the time, we're right, but Byte is one of the few who have proved us wrong.

Byteslinger for underrated user 2009! For setting an example to all noobs :P

But yeah when I read your post Lizzardis it seemed weird that a person like Byte had such a low post count. But it wouldn't be a surprise if they had attacked us, considering that some of them must hate us. Luckily only a few posts were lost on this thread :)

Well, NGlogs said I had -2 posts, but I had already made one or two posts when I logged my stats. Anyway it's nothing too big.

But seriously you don't look like such a long time member to me. I don't know what the newer guys think though.

Understand?
Now, I don't see you as one because I haven't seen you post as much and the nunchucks don't seem as "old" as the bronze gauntlet of Bytes........

Well, to make things a little clearer, when I joined NewGrounds in '06, it was more out of curiosity and eventually seeing how far up the ranks I got. I didn't hit the site every day, and really didn't want to get involved in forums and reviews, as they seemed to be breeding grounds for trolls and flames. I had made some negative (but I thought constructive) reviews, but they kept getting hammered by PBot, and that pissed me off.

Later, as I got more involved, I reviewed more positively - figuring that the damn politically correct bots wouldn't get mad if I kept a happy face and kept away from calling the flashes "useless pieces of fecundal tripe that could be found in any litter box". So, I only review positively and constructively - when I have the time.

As for the experience, that comes from being a consultant for a while, and then taking all of this experience from my work and life and applying it here. I am older than most of the population here at NewGrounds, so that in itself lends a different perspective from, say, a 16-year old kid.

Generally, I just try to be helpful (sometimes at the expense of being verbose), have a good time, and try to stay out of too much trouble. I also treat people I'd like to be treated, and if that sets a good example, well, that's cool, too.

Now, I am much more active here and on NG logs, as well as with my job IRL. I spend a lot of time online for a lot of reasons, both work and play - and in my case, it's the same thing!

The biggest rules that I live by when on a public site is this: never type anything or do anything online that you would be ashamed if your family saw it - and do nothing that will get the Feds to knock on your door.

Seems to be working well so far. Thanks for the kind words, Liz and everyone else - glad I can be a positive influence here - and a friend, too.

Judging from his past submission, I wouldn't want to flag that submission as it may come from its legitimate owner. It's better to let it pass, than to risk unjustifiably flagging a submission.

I'm back! Well, have been since about noon yesterday. And I'm going to be leaving noon tomorrow.

I don't want to bore you or waste my time with making a massive post about my CR escapades, but, you should know that Costa Rica is fucking awesome. And the fact that I went with a lot of my friends made it even better.

Summary of events:

White Water Rafting
Horseback Riding
Zip Lining (with 1 line being 1 km long)
Nature Hikes/Boating Trips
Doing Stuff We Probably Shouldn't
Almost Drowning on the Pacific Side
Eating Rice and Beans (at Every Meal)

Sleeping was not an event.

Just out of curiosity, anyone else have a PS3? I do and it recently started going from the normal red light(standby) then to green(when I touch the power button) then it flashes for a couple seconds. Then the green light turns yellow and then it goes back to standby mode, anyone know how to fix this?

I know this is slightly off topic, but I'm just wondering.

Now this is a bit more personal, but I love the nunchucks. And after level 25, there are only cool levels (I don't like any level from 18 to 24).

It happens to all of us. Next time make sure that you investigate further into the submission so that you don't end up flagging a legitimate flash.
You know, this makes me wonder about the difficulty of gaining or losing whistle ranks. It seems that is a lot easier to lose your rank than to gain it. In my case, I've been in Bronze for a long time even though I have been flagging abusive reviews and submission.

You really seem like you've been here for years and your activity on the site is slowind down due to age, but then i look at your sign-up date. Comming to be in mid 200 you have only been here about 2 years. It could be the fact that you are more mature than the average user, you don't act like a dumbass at anytime and most of your posts are to the point... usually not going off on a tangent.
Thats just how i see you.

it's not that low i just passed that a few months ago and i've been here almost a year longer than you...so your not to off track there. Your b/p surpasses me by so much now... i just well don't feel like doing it as much. My pace is about ten a day, so if i decide to come to...i will. Your post count is very low in my opinion, or it's just the fact that i have 4,000 more than you @;-}>

It's going to take a while for me to finish the current chapter, not a writer's block but a group of road bumps.

So didn't even reach my favorite point of the chapter, may take another few days or so.

This addresses everyone who responded to my post as Ismael did. I just prefer not to say the same thing over and over.

Yes, they were all impossibly fun and worth everything that I paid for them and more. Except for horseback riding. That's not much fun when your horse is a bitch and starts running for almost no reason and kicks other horses/people.

Well, I'm no expert on this, but I do believe you're suffering from a rare disorder called Yellow Light of Death. Similar to the Red Ring of Death, it appears as a yellow light allowing the owner to know that his/her machine is fucked up the ass with the wrong end of a ping-pong paddle. The only prescription is more cowbell, and a trip to the nearest Sony building to make use of that warranty. And if you don't have that warranty, Sony can lighten that fat wallet of your's.

I suggest you visit Google for a second opinion.

I did once have a PS3 but I did not get on with it but my after my experience with my so called XBox360 Elite, I may consider it a better option. My fucking console had it I got one of those red rings of death, I had to take on Grand Theft Auto 4 back because of the picture going funny only to find the same thing happen again. I have had enough for now I musty have got a duff one but I'm fed up with the site of it by now. But my level is low due to being off for 2 and half years.

his/her machine is fucked up the ass with the wrong end of a ping-pong paddle. That's fucking hilarious, also, I've had my PS3 for like 3 years give or take. And it just decided to automatically shut off one day when I was taking a nap while listening to some music I have on it. I intend to look at google, after I look at PS Underground to see if there are any help threads.

ROFLMAO! Sorry Lizz, but that is just too damn funny not to laugh at. And I know you're in Savannah, GA, but the scenario where that could actually happen, is painstakingly hilarious.

Now I am confused. Please explain to me.

Generally, North of New York isn't that warm, and isn't know for beaches or sunburns. Hell, even most of New York isn't known for sunburns.

Cobra is talking about if someone did get burned up there, it would be amazing because very few are that pale where even the smallest amount of UV will cause a burn.

Well, 2 more mods got their accounts hijacked, and wreaked havoc on the BBS.
RohanTheBarbarian got his account banned for 30 days for being in a spam thread, among the countless number of users who got banned or something.

BBM suggest going here --> https://www.grc.com/passwords.htm to create a alpha-numeric string for a new password. It refreshes each time the page is accessed, so dont think i'm here to hax0r you guys. Remember, safety first is a must!

I'd advise making sure that you change your e-mail accounts too. You dont want to be too careful with these guys on the loose.

That's my little announcement, and it's going to be copy-pasta'd over in the NGPD. Have a good day, and a safe NG experience!

Also, pic of a dog with flowers.

I'm sorry for my lack of explaining. But I see the Gauntlet as being an old medieval/Roman piece of armour, and the nunchucks being a modern weapon used by ninjas.

Thats just how I think of it OK.....Don't rip it out of me just because I think of something in a weird way.

Hey don't worry, I wasn't being too serious anyway ;)

Health report!

Well within my stay in America, I have only been here one week and I am already burned! Fucking hell they hurt like hell! I don't know how, I had SPF 30 on and I kept re-applying it! I think I'm just born to burn! I suspect 1st degree burns, then again, I may just be exaggerating! Haha. I'm staying out of the sun for a few days, so i will have more time to chat to you guys.

Oh that's bad, I've got burned several times in the past. But there should be some kind of ointment for you to use, so the burns go away. And of course, stay out of the Sun as you said.

Yeah I got some moisturiser to stop it from drying out and going sore. Its great stuff.

I too got sun burned the day before yesterday. I'm naturally pale so I wanted to get a tan, the problem was that I overdid it and instead of getting a nice dark color, I became red like a tomato.
This kind of sucks because unless I keep on getting sun exposure, my skin will start peeling off.

It's ok, fortunately the mighty power of Wade's e-penis was enough to undo the mass bannage fairly rapidly. I don't mind too much, it's my birthday and it's only a website, but it was annoying that it took me much longer to make a topic for Bahamut's birthday as I first ad to ask a mod what was up and then clarify that I could use an alt despite being banned on my main.
