Pretty much. We all live in the same city, so there was no point at staying at one person's house and such. I spent about three months actually planning this day, which is quite something. Unfortunately, not everyone could make it (even though I advanced it so far ahead), but it was still great.

If you are to organise a full on Australian meetup, make the meetup time more suitable so it doesn't clash. That's what I did and it worked better than expected.
