I'm not a mod, but I'm a Wi/Ht regular. In my perspective, I don't think you stand a chance. For starters, you've barely been 'back' a week, which doesn't do much for your credibility. Wade has already had a whinge at the BBS community for trying to worm their way out of bans and complaining about the mods is even in the rules. This stunt has been tried many times before, what makes you think you'll be able to succeed where many others have fallen? Granted, mod support would cancel out my credibility argument, but you still have a long way to go before the mods you personally don't approve of are demodded. There has NEVER been a permanent BBS demodding and I can't see that changing over a single disgruntled, infrequent visitor.

But hey, that's just the way I see it. Get the ball rolling and prove me wrong.

Well, maybe it shouldn't have been locked, but if you read the rules, you'll see there's one that states that complaining about locked threads is an 'offence' - and those rules are basically the mods' bible (although different mods interpret them in different ways). Also, bear in mind that there are 2 fairly new mods (_Mary_, ramagi) and 5 very new mods (Osamarama, Afro_Ninja, Maus, RedCircle, and myself), who are still striving to find the right balance between keeping the rules enforced and not infuriating the masses

Heh, tempting as that offer is, I shall remain here on the fence. I can see things from both sides, and being a mod gives you a WHOLE new view on the BBS.. and it's not generally a particularly pleasant one. Having said that, I'll always be a Wi/Hter at heart

I'm not going to be joining in the rebellion either, although I agree that a couple of the mods can be quite unfair at times. C'mon, a topic about snow shouldn't have been locked. Too much gets locked and too many people get banned on these boards. Such sad times are these when users have to say "omfg pleaze dont ban me!!!1" when replying to a topic with a controversial idea.

lol, there's no way you'll lose your account for something like that. Only admin can delete accounts, and the user has to have been a pretty persistent asshole for that to happen. Unfortunately, I have no idea how long your review ban will last.

Raising the requirements wouldn't be a good idea. A lot of users would constantly complain about it. Adding more ranks and doing a modification on the vp boosting for each rank would be a better idea. An user could gain 0.01% instead of 0.02% for the ranks at the bottom, 0.02% at higher ranks and 0.03% for the top ranks. :) Anyway, they will probably consider improving the rank system whenever it will be the moment to modify the levels and the auras which will be .... umm in the future (it's impossible to guess an exact period) if it ever happens.

Like I said in the past, he probably won't remove any mod unless that mod abuses its powers or betray his trust. So Denvish, you can become inactive for 3 years, come back and you will still be a mod :P :O

Most of these submissions suck anyway. They often drop below the 1.60 mark after they passed judgement. As for the ones that deserve to pass, I also protected them. Congrats.

I see I already got a reputation, I took on a job that a lot of the long term mods didn't want in modding the C&C forum. I have been following guidlines set up for that forum.. So yea that may seem that way.
Maybe it due to being around the site for so long.
