Those cat picutres always get me, by the way if my voting power stays at 6.17, when i go up by 2 ranks ill be in the 8.00's :-D but check this out my original voting power is still 6.17 (same as yesterday) but my total voting power (with added on bonus) is 7.78 higher then yesterdays 7.77.

Your real voting power has more digits than just two to the right of the decimal. Here's my voting power and total voting power from the past 10 days:
5.53 ... 6.75
5.54 ... 6.76
5.54 ... 6.76
5.54 ... 6.76
5.55 ... 6.77
5.55 ... 6.77
5.56 ... 6.89 (rank up to SFC, +22% becomes +24%)
5.56 ... 6.89
5.56 ... 6.90
5.57 ... 6.90
there. Just yesterday, do you see how the 6.89 changed to 6.90 BEFORE the 5.56 changed to 5.57 (today)? That's because in reality the numbers were probably more like this:
5.561 ... 6.894
5.564 ... 6.898
5.567 ... 6.902
Your profile (and the page that loads after you vote) ROUNDS the voting powers to the nearest hundreth. Just like scores of flash movies are rounded to the nearest hundreth. After all, when you vote 5 on a movie that's 4.14 and it "stays" at 4.14, it's not that you had no effect, it's just that you raised it from say 4.14444 to 4.14448 or something.
Also, think of it this way: your full voting power rises faster than your regular voting power because xx% of the original amount is always going to be going up. Observe:
5 base voting power with +50% bonus (from being a general! #;-}>) = 7.50 full voting power
i.e. increase of 2.5
but if you add 5 to that voting power, thus making you humantarget, I suppose:
10 base voting power with +50% bonus (wow... humantarget as an Elite Guard general!) = 15.00 full voting power
i.e. increase of 5.0
See? The increase by the SAME % BONUS increases as the base voting power increases. So each day as you get like .00333 (I think it's around there) voting power per day as your base, your full voting power goes up by more like .00444 or something because you've got a kick-ass blam/protect rank %age bonus.
