For a very short period of time, they had added a whistle for "free blam points". However, they quickly removed that in favor of the "excessive blam ban" idea.

I was just wondering why people waste their time to whistle malicious/stolen material IF it's not even going to pass on the portal.
Unless it's extremely hateful and the author deserves a ban, why bother flagging stolen/malicious crap if it's going in the obituaries forever?
Does the author that have done something against the rules will automatically receive a longer ban or maybe a worst fate? Is it a way to avoid that the author keeps resubmitting that unauthorized flash on the portal even if it's a sure blam? So submitting an unauthorized flash on the portal no matter how well it scores is an offense that deserves to be punished?

Ah, you're asking why they blow the whistle on doomed UJ's? Well, because if the whistle is blown enough times, the movie isn't blammed. Instead, it's flagged for Administrative Review. So, a flagged movie never even goes to the obits, even if it's crap that'll never pass.

umm it will go there.. when Wade will judge the flag submissions. The submissions that are refused will still go in the obituaries several days later.
Why would we BOTHER to flagging it if it goes CERTAINLY in the obituaries? Does anything happen to artists that submit a flash that breaks the rules even if it's complete crap?

I've done it before. I forgot who it was, but I banned him for a week for doing some stupid shit... Then he got some of his friends to make topics bitching about him being banned.
I gave each of the ones that made topics bitching about the ban a week long ban, and then put a "ban ends xx/xx/xx" thing on the original guy's ban which gave him 3 extra weeks and extended it until that date. Also adding "Thank ____, ____, and ____ for those 3 extra weeks off."
If people think spamming the forum with "Free ____" and "unban ____" topics will get them anywhere, they need to be shown that it won't. And if they do make them, they're just making the situation worse for the original user and themselves..
