Actually, I was having some computer problems that night. I was trying to install a video card, and it took a lot longer than I thought it would. Midnight came and went while I was trying to get the stupid computer working, so I completely missed the midnight draw. Sorry about that, dude.

That's ok. I didn't know. (How could I?) I guess that you are doing the best that you can but sometimes our computer just loves torturing us. (and by that I don't mean that it's alive :D)

I was addicted to that midnight depositing because of your quickdraw program but now I'm so low in the ranking that I might just stop to start sleeping so late because it affects my capacity of staying awake during my courses :D<--- ya right, next thing we will notice is that I'm still competing in that quickdraw top ranking.

~sigh~ 2 hours of tests later I've managed to fry one of the desktops so that it doesn't boot past memory check. All my cable connections are fuxored but I can (get this) get through on dial-up ... I'm so glad I'm paying $200 a month to connect to the net :-P~~~

What truly escapes me is why some fool in my building went out and bought a 801.1g wireless router. I have the max transfer rate in the area, short of a T1. Unless he's planning on running a T1/T3 line into his apartment in the near future, there's no reason to spend money on anything better than a .1b

JANET, which is the university network system, which I and presumably jonthomson are also on, runs at 100mbps :D Shame we're not allowed to use it for ANYTHING FUN, like file sharing etc etc. Banzorage from the internet would be hugely inconvenient because all of my tutorials are arranged online etc.

Yeah. If I hadn't been going through all the crap this morning I'd have found it amusing. ~le sigh~ Oh well, cable's working again. Wierd thing was that it wasn't letting me pull up the PORTAL, but I could pull everything else up that was in it.

I had this fucked up workaround I was doing ... dial in to refresh the portal page, then disconnect, reconnect cable, go to the individual pages, watch and vote on the flash, then disconnect cable, dial in again and refresh the portal page. Just plain whacked. After I while I finally remembered last summer's fix ... just keep adding 1 to an entry's URL until you get an error, then park there and refresh until something gets submitted that takes the PID.

I have no personal rankups coming up soon.
