Heck, my experience ranking is worse than that! It's not that hard to get ahead in b/p rankings; there's no limit to points/day, and a lot of people stop gathering or only get a few every now and then. Just keep on truckin'.

The theory is it's because you're used to it. 9-10 feels like such a big gap because before then, you had only been needing 50 points for a level up, and now it jumps into the 800's. After you've done it once, you know it takes freakin' forever so you don't expect another level up for a long time. Level 11 creeps up on you in no time.

The return trip always seems shorter.

I doubt the audio portal is being deleted, not only because I just went there and it's... there (still the same portal, no upgrades), but also because a lot of audio submitters would be pretty ticked off, and flash submitters need audio, without audio, most flashes get blammed.

I also hope it gets upgraded, I hate voting on something because it goes to a different page and I can't listen to song again after doing so for some reason.

You know, I was talking about this with some people a few weeks ago. There are two theories:

Theory A) It really does take more time to go from 9-10 than 10-11; I think I needed somewhere around 900 or maybe 1,000 points to go from 9-10, and maybe around 800 or so to get to 11. I don't know if that's right, but I think it is.

Theory B) It really isn't shorter, but psychologically we make it shorter. Up to level 9 you're used to leveling up every 5 days. But come level 9 it all of a sudden takes between 3 or 4 months to level up. That seems like forever compared to 5 days... but then from 10-11 you're already used to that time, so it just doesn't seem as long.

So those are the two theories I could come up with. Either it really is shorter (obviously) or our minds make it shorter due to relativity.
