You're killing me here Mr_James. Back to rule #1. Superiority of position in relation to target. If done correctly your hypothetical situation would never happen. Where were we, oh yeah, timing. Now your training starts to really come into play. Proficiency with weapon, alignment of sights, distance from target, speed of target, type of terrain target is traversing etc. I'm going to make a coffee.

Anyway, superiority of position in relation to the target means squat if your target is a decoy and someone's coming up behind you to shoot you.

Hey hey, no need for sarcasm. A sniper may well be camouflaged but that won't stop them if there is a traitor giving away his position. Yeah, I know I'm pulling shit outta my ass but hey, that's what I do!
