There ya go. Afterburner & Dogma were added within a day of each other. And Dobio and Crono- were added within a day of each other. It was those two precedents that caused me to wish we would continue with more than 1 at a time, but no one else agreed back in January 2004 or whenever the issue came to a head.

Well, you're in Portland, so perhaps that's why you've never heard of it, but school in much of the southern area of the country... from the Southwest to the South (IOW, where it's nice and hot and steamy in August) tends to start in early-mid August. Mostly because most schools are air conditioned and there's no reason not to get it under way. It might have something to do with taking advantage of that ability to hold school during the very hot month of August in order to balance out the fall and spring semesters more equally or something, with the winter break timing and all.

The level system was implemented AFTER people began collecting exp, so humantarget went from no level to level 30 in one go. Pimp and Shrapnel would have skipped quite a few levels as well.
