Does anyone else think that its a littledisturbing that takes well over thirty years just at the current point standings to get a level 29. With the points added on everyday its takes a whole lot more.

Work on your math. to make 29 right now is 15,359 XP, make it 15,340 for easy math. At 10 XP/day with the 20 point profile and 10 points for the two sign ups it would take 4.30 years for a new account. With points added on it would take longer, yes, but I don't know where this 30 years crap is coming from.

What kinda crack are you smoking? At the "current point standings," that being around 15,300 or so for level 29, it doesn't take "well over thirty years" to get to level 29...

it takes 1530 days, or about... I dunno, 4.5 years to get to level 29 at the current amount if everyone else stopped.

Now, your points-added-on comment is true. But therefore it's "a whole lot more" than 4.5 years, not "a whole lot more" than 30 years.

It'll take me until around 2010 to get to level 24, and that's INCLUDING the time added by the points added on each day.

Yep, when I ranked up from Sergeant to Staff Sergeant, I skipped right over 6.66.

However, I did just hit 6.66 BASE voting power about a month ago. That was good, at least, to see in the "thanks for voting screen."

I kinda wish our profiles said base VP as well as total, BTW. Although I certainly wouldn't trade the possibility of an official VP ranking for that.

I'm quite happy that my total blind estimates of 15,300 exp for level 29 and 4.5 years to get there with no one else depositing... were so fucking close to your calculations. WOWZA, I'm good today. Wait, I thought my brain was addled from the list updating. Oh well, guess I'll have to rethink that.
