It has evolved into a chatroom of sorts, which is why the thread has not been banned. It also allows people to vent their "I leveled/ranked/whatever" news without repercussions. So if it does suck, at least it does it well.

If anyone cares, I went on my first boat ride of the year tonight. It's finally getting warm enough. A friend and I went halfway around the lake and each had a captain morgan/coke and shot the shit about relationships and life itself. Good times... (We both live on the same lake)
