In a way it does seem like all our dystopian sci-fi movies manifest themselves into reality overtime too. Either they really are prophetic or we are at least somewhat influenced by the things we see; the culture we grow up on...
The whole thing is a fickle. By this point a great portion of the older age and at risk groups have been offered their first jabs and most have taken it up. Last I checked they were open to anyone as young as 38 to come forward for their jabs so I'm not so far off by this point. However, I'd much rather it was the Pfizer I'm given as the AstraZeneca can do one after all its issues.
Mmm, and they're offering vaccines to infants in some areas too, I don't really like where this is going. Seems like maybe the Sputnik V one might be the least harmful IMO. Would've been nice if the RNA ones could've at least gone through all phases of their clinical trials first, but of course time's a luxury that can't be spared. I really hope they're all relatively harmless even long-term.
Ahh makes a lot of sense that. I do like to have that digital detox but couldn't do it for that long. Apart from some quick check ups, I can very well have some time outs in the best opportunities.
Getting pretty difficult to get in a long enough detox here too these years. :) Got at least one month straight booked now though! The show of summer and all must somehow at least somewhat go on!
Idk what happened with Boris' pub trip and quite frankly I shouldn't even care. I've had a lot of great beer garden sessions but sadly in the last two weeks the weather has taken for the worse. To be fair, the weather was somehow convenient with outdoor drinking to begin with in this period. Thought typical British weather would have fucked up all five weeks entirely.
That said, we'll be allowed to drink inside from Monday but concerns about the Indian variant have cropped up. Disruptions to June's reopenings won't be a surprise but everything else that has reopened there's no backsies from the plans. Just have to wait and see.
Restrictions didn't let up entirely as planned then? Haven't been hearing much of the UK on the news lately...
Over here theme parks and cinemas just opened again today, and my favorite (cheapest national) airline carrier Norwegian just started flying again, so hopefully hopefully it's looking up a bit...
