Hmm, rather quiet at the moment, especially after the flurry of holiday activity... nothing much to mention, about half way through the staff sergeant rank, within 100 saves of 1,500, still not at 1,500 reviews. And I'm back at work. May try to do something about that review count, what with the darts having finished and all that.

Just one other thing to mention - next time the voting's open to allow someone into the wi/ht club, I suggest we use email so nobody gets pissed off if they're seen to be unpopular (more accurately, not as popular/worthy as other candidates - I can only think of two people on NG that I actively dislike, and neither of them would ever use this forum - but you can't tell how people will interpret things).

Of course, if it's a one horse race, it can just be done on a yay/nay basis...

That's how our voting used to be conducted, but only when Spancker used to do them. He used to try and keep things 'hush 'hush'. You are right though, it prevents users in the nominations that don't get into our club from being offended.

Good point jonthomson. We originally e-mailed spancker when it was voting time and he would post the winner about a week later. Unfortunately the vote went public and caused some unrest with a few people so yeah, I concur that we conduct further elections privately. Since I'm on the subject I also believe that each Wi/Ht? member should get one vote only. In the event of a tie (highly unlikely) the nominee with the most experience should be elected. I know we're talking about this in the wrong topic, disrupting the flow of conversation but hell... I am Canadian.

I have now around 8700 points, nearly all aquired in about 7 months (the first 5 months at NG i got 1700 total points). For those seven months, I got like a 1000 per month, and I'll be able to keep that up. So after my calculations I'll be EGSC in about 21 months, which is under two years. The intresting part, however, is if my intrests for NG will still be there. But a lot of 15 year olds do, so my chanches (?) are there, of course.

Long term, I want 5000 of everything - exp, blams, saves, posts, reviews, and to eventually get on gfox's 10K list in every category, something which can't happen for at least two years simply due to a lack of experience. The question is whether a return to university and the need to work at the same time will harm my stat collecting too much. 10vp is another thing as well, but that will take a while again. Only 2.71 to go, but it's a difficult one. The only thing we can all hope for is for humantarget and Pimp to miss a few days or something :-)

not quite. You forgot to subtract out the 400 points between levels 1 and 9 first. Those are the non-scaling levels, and thus you should have divided 14,706 - 400 = 14,306 by 21, not his full exp.
