Hey all. For any wondering, my wife and I live on like the 4th floor of a condo building, and our car's on the 2nd floor in the garage. Living in Houston long enough, this is--trust me--by design for events such as Hurricane Harvey a month ago. We stayed put for 5-6 days, then ventured out once the street flooding had gone down. All doing well, though my wife has a coworker or two with house damage (those things are on the ground level, never trusted 'em).
Hope you've fully recovered from that by now. I can't say I'm dealing with anything as bad weather-wise, although the colder weather we've had as of late took us all by surprise. The snow around here wasn't so bad (as per usual during blizzards in the UK) but those around the country have been snowed in and all that. I'm just wanting the weather to warm up a bit already so it's less money to put in for the heating.

Damn, that is way way less than what I remember it used to get. However, the last time I even got any B/P on my account was such a long time ago. Probably like 10 years now.
Yeah, the days of 200+ flashes submitted on CD are loooong in the past. You haven't gotten any b/p at ALL in 10 years? No way.
If I did get any in that time period, it was on some of my alts. Definitely been at least five years now since earning any points for any of my accounts in the judgment zone. That said, it's been at least five years now since I even last deposited on any of my alts. Now those all have long been inactive so now it's just my main to deal with these days.
Touché. I did feel like I dropped into obscurity on here after I moved away from Bahamut. It's a name I've long abandoned and the only times I even have that name around nowadays are my email address (although slowly phasing that out), my PSN ID and Last.fm. I only have it around for those two simply because I am unable to change my name for either of them.
... It's kinda sad that you've abandoned it, man.
Times change and usernames come and go. I tried to have different usernames both on here and other sites but I've just not found a better name to adapt to than Murray or any other variants of it.
My original online name from 1994 is still pretty much my default online name in 2017. 23 years and 3 months and counting. Sad or cool? Either way, it's somethin'!
Well it's a name you've happily kept since. I'm sure my Murray usernames will stick around with me for that long.
Thank you for all of them. It is indeed a lot accomplished in that time and I think the way things are going now, there's still tons more I'll be doing. One other accomplishment I have made in that time is finally getting myself to go on flights again. I went to Dublin last month for a weekend trip and that marked my first time on a plane in almost a decade! It was also my first time abroad since Paris in 2011 so I can only wonder what I'll get up to next year.
Groovy! I haven't flown since 2002, myself. My wife and I visited her mom in NYC shortly after 9/11... it was not a fun flight (and my wife was sick on the flight back... as in, sick before we boarded, sick the whole time, and sick once we were home, not airsick briefly on it), so even less fun. But my family flew so much in the 1980s and 1990s that if I never fly again in my life, I don't feel I'm really missing out. My quota was fulfilled by age 18, I had quite the childhood.
I wouldn't mind going on more flights. Was hoping to have some plans this year to go abroad but all of the plans have fallen through. Had Dublin in mind with a friend of mine but we've dropped that in favour of going to Bloodstock in August. He's not been to Bloodstock before but is making it a certainty this year due to Judas Priest headlining for one of the days.
I had also considered going to another metal festival in Czech Republic. It's actually on the same weekend as my birthday but like Dublin, plans are just not in my favours for it. Maybe 2018 isn't the year to go outside the country but I can always see about pinning something for 2019. One of these days I wanna go to a convention over in the states (of the cosplay variety). Some events that I've seen photos of look really amazing and it makes me feel like I'm missing out which is funny to say considering I attend like 20 of them a year over here.
Oh, and remember what I said about quitting the vapes and smokes? I failed on that. Ended up back on the vapes in November due to shit going on and then I threw myself on smokes again a while back when other shit was going down. Fortunately I'm off the smokes again and got myself a big vape to replace them so I'm feeling better with that. I'm just disappointed in myself for buying more packs of cigs this year already than I did for the whole of 2017 (only bought three 20 packs then).
And yes, I did go to the Guinness Storehouse while I was there and I must say, the Guinness was divine everywhere I went. Even the first pint there was like the best I ever had but now I'm back to sub level Guinness over here. :P
Hey, your "sub level Guinness" in the UK is still miles fresher and better tasting than the Guinness we get over here across the pond, so no complaining! But yes, I've heard it's best in Dublin at the source.
I suppose there is that but I still have the right to complain about it here. For pubs having it on draughts, they can still be alright but for sub sub level Guinness, that's bars using CANS for them as well as picking up cans from the supermarket but those are last resorts. However, I say that and managed to drink a whole 10-pack of Guinness the other night without any difficulties. Was only just watching Aladdin and then the Kill Bill films that night,
Also, when you say Dragon is credit to team, I gotta say... I don't think I'm as much of a dragon fan these days as I was back in the day. They're still awesome but I just lack that fascination for them these days. If not dragons, what animal/creature do I like most then? ....I guess goats... goats are metal!
Well, come up with a cool goat-related name and start going by that. Who knows, perhaps it'll catch on just as much as Bahamut did back in the day. What's that goat-headed deity called... :::googles it::: Baphomet? There you go.
Wow, you had to find a way with that. But nah, I don't need any more username changes on here unless by the off hand chance I wanna go back to the name Bahamut but I'd rather be going forwards than backwards and going back to that name is just going backwards.
