Lost my password and email at the same time around 2003, didn't find the password again till 2008 or so. Originally I had put a nice long password in, but found I only needed to type 7-8 characters into the tiny field.. so I forgot the rest when they fixed that bug.

Yeah that's the best way. :) Always much easier to review when you have nothing else to do too, no other dues hanging over that keep distracting; worsening the flow of words... which is pretty much always the case for some reason...

Unfortunately I only have the same eight tracks he has online right now, archived a bit too late. :/ If there's any other artist though...

Manually. I had a userscript to transform /listen/ to /download/ in URLs, so I could just go via the main audio page for each user and download all tracks on a per user basis, but still spent a looot of time waiting on the downloads to finish, going to the next user, repeating the process, and dragging the files to folders sorted by username. Now that there's a limitation on download requests though it's pretty much impossible to do any real archiving there. :/ Wish I'd done more when it was possible.

That sounds like a lot of work. That was nice of you to archive what ever you could. It really sucks when something is vanished forever. You never know how important it could be to another user.

Yeah it was, but the prospect of a complete collection of the AP seemed rewarding enough to merit the task. :) Never did get that far though, it really is huge... indeed, and you never know when or what'll go next, so much great content on the verge, always...

It is too bad that there is not a warning process. If they announced what they planned on removing or who would be next to drop all posts. It could be a few days at least. I don't really see how that would hurt anybody.

Thanks. It felt like it was taking an eternity. Then again I'm closing in on the 50s for level so that makes sense. Not hitting 60 til after 2020 when my account turns 10 though.

If you lost a large enough amount you would notice, unless you asked to have them all gone. If you asked for it, than the only question would be why.
