Just got my gold whistle after getting silver on October 31st, so it only took about seven weeks.

Ohohoho, very nice! And nice dig. I've been trying for gold for a while but seems the AP cleanup is a little clogged. Not exactly sure what staying power flags have, or if outstanding flags that haven't been touched delete themselves and later count against your whistle, but I hope not.

I think I was pretty into stats right from the start ('04), though I migrated to alternate communities for a year or so shortly after (that ceased to exist, so I...), came back, lost interest a bit but kept depositing at least, came back again in 2012... have probably only been B/Ping consistently since then, trying to really catch every submission that hits the Portal. I think I only miss a few each night right now. The slowed down judgement pace makes it easier to keep up, but I do wish I spent more time on this when there was a surplus. Catching up to those who did just seems... impossible. Someday though...

I'm pretty sure you lose more points for flagging a review wrongly, than flagging one right, so best be careful about marking any you're not 100% sure about. I was pending between Silver and Gold forever before I really decided to skip anything dubious. Maybe you're right at the brink of Deity already though! :D Without visible points it feels like such a long wait, you never know how close you are.

Reviews have always seemed more like a task, than entertaining. When I have more free time, I will have to get back to reviewing more often.
