After declaring today that I didn't have one, she told me it was early morning shift and that it wouldn't be possible to get there at all. Well thanks for wasting my fucking time and my parents' petrol. Of course, details like the hours are not always stated on the Job Centre website so I have to blindly apply to jobs.

My dad is really fighting against this. They feel saying one can't work because they don't have their own transport is an act of discrimination. If it was a job for a bus driver or a trucker, it's fair enough that the ability to drive is mandatory but this is just a receptionist role. It's not the first time I've been discriminated (if you want to look at it that way) since the job for working in a casino didn't want to take me on due to not having transport to cover me overnight. I did say to them there was a night bus I could take but that wasn't enough for them...

I've just come back from the presentation evening, hosted by my cricket club (complete with farcical raffle!) and have been given a great insight into what the village was like in 1977, when we went to Lord's and won the national village knockout tournament, but how the team spirit that existed back then actually exists today.

I'm so proud of this bunch of lads that I call my club - we are a great team and I was so privileged to meet some of these players, all of whom remember me as a kid, but I have little-to-no recollection of. Now I've had a chance to set the record straight with some of the heroes of mine, whom I've actually managed to meet.

What did you study at college and was the apprenticeships on the same subject?

I did Computing for a single year and only got a grade of a D. I knew it wasn't worth covering A2 of the subject if that's the best I get.

Don't give with the apprenticeships btw, my friend who is 22 got on one just this year.

It's not more to do with my age, it's more to do that these con artists advertise jobs that don't even exist and only waste your time with applying to their training programmes which afterwards they'd forget you ever existed. I did have an interest in the subject but everything really did go to hell for me for the second year of it. It was a complete mistake to even take A Levels.
