Holy shit, I never knew the original version is over 22 minutes long.
A friend of a friend's took an ageing Skoda (when they were awful cars) to Germany to kill it on the Autobahn. Playing chicken with a 911 on the two lane stretches, because they really didn't give a crap about the car at that stage.
Suffice to say, they took a train back to blighty :P

Well that's something.
Also, I would buy Kraftwerk with german lyrics only. First of all, there aren't that many lyrics to begin with, second, I think they just don't sound the same when they sing in english. And no, I don't mean just the language, but the whole feeling of the songs is different.
Eh, I enjoyed The Man-Machine and the genre is a little out of place for my taste.
Oh well, you're missing out on a good band.I'll add them to the list of "good bands I'm missing out on". Geesh, that list is LONG!
So who else is on there?
Well, one thing that would definitely show up is Falkenbach, I think that's the only one who's showed up for both of our projects. And as far as I can see it will remain the only band that will show up on both projects.
I suppose you did better with the underground artists in the end.

Yeah okay, but we don't know whether they have communicated it wrongly, do we? Perhaps the linesman just didn't see it right either.
He is! Plus he's way too conservative if you ask me. How many game-determining wrong decisions by refs does he need before he finally agrees to put a guy behind a TV screen for a second opinion? This would spare everyone so much hassle and would make the game much more fair (gives referees less room to be one-sided for instance).Well, we can't have decisions based on video footage for everything, but just a simple goal camera would help a lot already. I mean, we have so many referees already: The main ref, two linsemen, in international matches the ref behind the goal and the one near the benches. One more guy watching a TV screen and deciding if a goal should be awarded wouldn't hurt.
Yeah and I was thinking for arguable red cards also. Don't they have a system in American sports where coaches can ask for a second opinion like once a match or so? That would help keep it within bounds.

Ah I see. I believe most German players prefer to stay in Germany anyway, don't they? I don't know that many good German footballers playing outside of their country.Yes, it's quite surprising. Some years ago, in the 90's, many players of the national team played in Italy. Nowadays almost all players are playing in Germany (except for Özil and Khedira, who play at Real Madrid).
Oh well. I suppose they'd rather stay close to home these days? I can imagine it's tough sometimes if you have to move across Europe like once every other year.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/12_am redirects to "Midnight".Aaaaahaha I don't think so. I looked it up actually to be sure and I pretty much found that 12 AM is a bullshit way to state the time as it's unclear. Therefore you should say 12:00 midnight or 12:00 noon or something along those lines. Or just say 00:00 and 12:00 in the 24 hours system as it's superior in my opinion...At 12/23/11 07:00 PM, Haggard wrote:

But but but... nuh-uuuh
While computers and digital clocks display "12:00 a.m." and "12:00 p.m.", those notations provide no clear and unambiguous way to distinguish between midnight and noon. It is actually improper to use "a.m." and "p.m." when referring to 12:00. The abbreviation a.m. stands for ante meridiem or before noon and p.m. stands for post meridiem or after noon. Since noon is neither after noon nor before noon, and midnight can equally be twelve hours before and after noon, neither abbreviation is correct (although the length of the error is determined by the smallest unit of time - 12:00:01 p.m. would be correctly notated).
Anyway, I kind of assumed that you meant 12 noon as you posted somewhere in the afternoon, didn't you?I posted it at around 0:30 GMT +1. ;)

You know, I always thought one of the main reasons our football isn't popular in the US is because the TV stations can't stuff a commercial break in every three minutes. Unlike baseball, where there's 10 seconds of action and then five minutes of fuck all happening.
Anyway, how long the game has to be halted depends on how fast the technology is I suppose. I got a feeling that with modern day technology the fourth (or fifth) official could check the replay within a minute if he wants to. Of course that might still be a lot of waiting, but now we have coaches and players bitching and moaning and arguing for five minutes every time there's an arguable decision by the ref.

More like a telescope.
But here we are running into trouble already. Every coach will say a red card was unjustified and the game needs to be stopped. And then we end up like US Sports where "60 minutes of gameplay" means "3 fucking hours full of breaks, not given points, commercials and other stuff."You know, I always thought one of the main reasons our football isn't popular in the US is because the TV stations can't stuff a commercial break in every three minutes. Unlike baseball, where there's 10 seconds of action and then five minutes of fuck all happening.
Just put a chip in the ball and install some cameras that watch the goal line. That's enough.
My thoughts exactly. I mean, just imagine this: They even pause football games to show commercials on Television! Oh fucked up is that?
Of course that might still be a lot of waiting, but now we have coaches and players bitching and moaning and arguing for five minutes every time there's an arguable decision by the ref.
Yeah, but we have the fourth official for that. Coaches bitch at him, not at the ref.
Also, this reminds me a bit of Stuttgart vs. Bayern where one of Stuttgarts players was sent off with two yellow cards. Both times he fouled Robben. Stuttgarts coach was furious and later accused Robben that he was overreacting and that he was diving. Some people even claimed that Robben was provocating those fouls. One person said: "He's stopping right before the foul, he's looking where the other player is and then jumps. Robben should've gotten a yellow card here."
I don't know if this guy was serious or just trolling, but sadly enough this is very similar to what the coach of Stuttgart said.
Robbens comment to that: "This is sad, how can he say such things?"
Btw. those fouls where two very clear fouls and it really is beyond me how anybody can say otherwise. Too bad I can't find any youtube videos at the moment...
Is that even like... an official job? :pLOOOOOOL!!!!!I wonder if he's still allowed to work as a linesman, haha.
Worst linesman ever!
Well, they have to visit some trainings, that's for sure. But they are not professionals, as far as I know. But they should be professionals, so they can make a living as a ref and as a linseman and they can fully concentrate on their job as a ref. This can only help the sport.
And this is exactly why a 12-hour-clock is inferior to a 24-hour-clock.Exactly! The 12-hour system is actually pretty stupid in my opinion. I don't know why we don't all switch to the 24-hour as the standard one.
Because people are stupid!

The strange thing is that ELO made more of an impact in the States than the UK - they were never massive here, but they have almost cult status overseas.
, but Shine on you Crazy Diamond is fantastic. Which version of Set Controls have you got? A Saucerful of Secrets or Ummagumma?I got three versions actually. The third, and my favourite one, is the one from Live in Pompeii.
Ah, live versions can be better, though some can be worse as well :P
And yeah, SOYCD is one of my favourite songs of all time. It's one of the songs I voted on in our annual top 2000 best songs of all time list. I liked to see it ending up at #16.
I'd have a tough time trying to pick some of my favourite songs of all time. I'm too eclectic.
Haven't heard of it and from the looks of it there's not even a release date set for the Netherlands yet. It does seem to get good reviews though, so I might check it out as well if it's ever released here.I'm not sure. I want to see Goon, because I'm a hockey fan. Eh, not much so far.
Yeah, the new weapons don't help matters at all.Nope. This Deus Ex Machina and alien weaponry (Cow Mangler etc.) shit feels very out of place.
Ugh, yeah, all that nonsense with game promotions. The only items I'll get from them are games I actually want.

YouTube doesn't even fight back with copyright claims. If someone makes a false claim, they'll blindly take it and the victim has no luck.
