Yeah, picking maths as one of my major fields hasn't been a smart move. I ended up with english class and german class as my major fields. But on the other hand, there wasn't anything else I was interested in enough to pick it as my major.

I ended up with 2 A-Levels, after I failed Maths. I got such low grades, but still managed to get to University, though I only lasted 6 months there. Everything happens for a reason.

I now am in my 7th year at university (6 and a half years to be exact). About time I finish my studies.

It's because NTSC runs at 60 Hz and PAL at 50 Hz. So if the conversion is done badly the PAL version will run slower and the image is compressed, leaving us with ugly PAL bars and characters that look quite obese.
Overall, PAL is the better system, though. :/

Yea, I loved her and stuff but I'm not a romantic person in the least.

It's not all to do with romance. There are pastimes you can enjoy in solitary, or with friends, but there are things that you can do with an other half, which don't fall into these categories. Watching a movie, while curled up on the sofa is one of these things and I do kind of miss that. Conversely, the "Dutch Oven" is also something I miss being able to perform :P

Nah, I'd much rather have the games being NTSC compatible. It sucks how PAL was always pissed on since the beginning and it's still bringing us down. Shit like this only makes me want to pirate games but for PS1, I can't say no to the hard copies.

Alone time is fun - I write, read, play online games and so forth, but it gets samey, considering you can do so much more as a couple.

I guess it does. On a lesser subject I love Nintendo mostly because unlike every other gaming company, they don't region lock games so you can always play games from other countries... mostly Japan because they tend to have a lot of neat games that never seem to be released in America. :D

Yep, as the second best weapon in the game. Well I consider it the best because the requirements to get the Excaliber II are just stupid. I can't imagine anyone enjoying the game when he's rushing through it within 12 hours. If they made it 24 or so it might prove a nice challenge for reruns.

Indeed, Neuer doesn't have an awful lot to do then. Great goalie by the way, I thought he was the best goalie of the WC.

He made some easy mistakes in the near past (or at least, he didn't look too good), but I think he will be there when he's needed most.

A good thing about him is that he provides good support for his defenders and isn't simply a good ball catcher like many other goalies in professional football. At least, that's what I saw from him at the WC.

Yeah I know that german is considered a "hard" or "harsh" language, but since it's my native language I really don't get that feeling that I'm speaking an awfully "harsh" language. ^^
I think it's because of the "ch" and "ck" sounds. But if you want a language with a lot of those sounds you should try learning dutch instead. :P

Yes, PAL is pissed on. Doesn't change the fact that it is the better system. For starters, it has more lines (that's why it only runs in 50Hz, I guess) and in NTSC you have to be very careful with for example camera movements in movies. Because if you don't do it at the right speed it will "stutter" later on when shown on TV. It has something to do with the frames per second.

But overall, it of course would be best if we all had just ONE system.

Indeed, Neuer doesn't have an awful lot to do then. Great goalie by the way, I thought he was the best goalie of the WC.

He made some easy mistakes in the near past (or at least, he didn't look too good), but I think he will be there when he's needed most.

A good thing about him is that he provides good support for his defenders and isn't simply a good ball catcher like many other goalies in professional football. At least, that's what I saw from him at the WC.

Yeah, modern goalies have to constantly speak with their defenders. Also, Neuer is the best when it comes to throws. He can throw the ball from his penalty box to the midline!
