Wait a minute... What's up with this? I haven't voted on a single movie in a long, long time. One thing I noticed months back, when I tried voting on movies, I kept getting the error message that said I had already voted on it. Could this be related?

Congrats to you and your new bigger voting power. Because you're still at a comparatively low level, it'll keep increasing quickly as well compared to others. That's the one bonus of being a lower level - the change in voting power from going completely through any level is the same, it just takes less time :-)

The point I was making, is that given leeboy and another user with the same voting power, the chances are the aforementioned other user will have a higher exp. count and thus probably level as well, so leeboy's vp will increase more quickly, through experience increase, and even more so through the larger b/p multiplier.

I'm not sure. Drimarki only had ONE b/p count change, a month or two after he left. It never changed before OR after that. I coulda sworn you were getting a point or two every few updates of my lists, Redrum. Maybe I'm thinking back further than September, though. Maybe August?

I dunno. But if you really want to find out what's up, just go check out the top 50 protector list topic, and find the updates and compare your numbers (total and/or just saves).

Indeed. Most people I'm passing on the VP list have like level 19 or 21, but a low b/p rank. And thus, with my level 14 exp amount, but super-high b/p rank, my % bonus is the reason I'm as high as I am (up to 9.03 from 6.27), and I increase faster DUE to that bonus.

IOW, it's good to have a huge exp amount to provide you with VP, and it's good to have a huge b/p amount to provide you with bonus VP (like fixit, who's around my exp, but has the full 60% VP bonus from b/p, for example, and is thus really high on the VP list)...

but it's best to have both. And if you can't quite have both, choose moderate exp and super-high b/p. Because otherwise, you'll be like humantarget: excellent in exp, but surprisingly low in VP.

Hey, I may be "below average", but I'm still pretty happy about everything that I pulled off today. First of all, I just leveled up and I am now Lv. 12 as you can see to the left of this post. As if that wasn't enough, I also managed to finally make my way up to over 9500 blam/protect points to snag myself my new Elite Guard Second Lieutenant rank. Thirty-two percent boost to my Voting Power. Over 7.50 now. So yeah, you can't see me right now, but I'm having my very own one-man party. I've been waiting for Lv. 12 a really long time too, so you have no idea how pleased I am right now...

I was speaking about levels in terms of how they fall on the VP range, mostly. Not in terms of a true average (i.e. half of NG is above him, half is below)... because if I was, it would probably be level 4 or something.

Besides, I was lv10-12 from January until July or something around that range. It wasn't meant as an insult. Your blam/protect count is well above average if it makes you feel any better, eh? Congrats to you (and leeboy) on those rankups, BTW, since it'll be a few days before I congrat you both on the top 50 list updates.

If anyone doesn't mind being spoiled on what the list is going to be, exactly, it's the first 10,000 User ID#s on NG. Well, not all 10,000 (most don't have profiles), but all that have a profile or movies. It'll probably end up being 1500 people or so. The oldest account-holding/profile-having users on NG, IOW. And this time, it will be complete with profile links so people can actually easily check out the sign up dates and other stats. I've found a lot of interesting people that never posted a single post or got a single blam or save during this list making process. And my excel file is bursting (1.3meg+ file... heh).
