Congrats dude. Got my own silver whistle just after the whistle system was first introduced. It was much easier to get it back then compared to now though.

I had the gold for about 30 - 60 minutes when the whistle system was still new. I think I lost it to TheJoe324.

I think you lost it to ramagi or RageVI, because when I got gold, the previous 2 people that had it were them, and Rage was knocked down to silver.

I've changed my profile pic a few times, it's been various FFIX characters, Teh Ninja Banana and finally buttface.

Congrats, try pasting your print screen into Paint and just saving it as a .gif or .jpg straight away.

I think James is having the same problem as i am. When i try and save a jpeg or gif, the only file type i can save as is a bmp. I can't save animated gifs because i can noy save them as a bmp.

But take heart... one positive thing about your current situation is that NO ONE is within 500 points of reaching you, so it's not like you're going to get passed from far behind any more times soon, like courtday and biteme and Syme and Denvish all did to ya. All you need to do is find a day (maybe this weekend?) you can spend 10 hours doing some hardcore blamming and saving, and you'll get past at LEAST Syme and staphita (who's moving surprisingly well lately), if not biteme. That'd bump you up to 35th place, I believe. Not bad.

I know the prob you guys are talking about. At times I can't right click and save pics from IE as anything other than a bmp either. But all you need to do is get the URL of the image and use GetRight or something similar to DL it directly to your drive, bypassing IE's stupidity.

In any event, my image program lets me save screencaps as whatever format I want. Here's the one you wanted, though I had to guesstimate how many blams you had when you had 1337 saves, since you didn't say:

Oh, that's weird. Anyway, I think the solution is just to not use Paint. I use VuePrintPro for most of my image viewing, and some of my image saving (mostly screenshots that don't require much, if any, editing, like my profile, blam/save vote screens, things like that). I use PaintShopPro for in-depth image editing (like the profile pics I make each time I rankup and such). I use IrfanView for icon creating. And lastly, I use MSPaint only for making my sigpic, since it's fairly simple to drag badges around in zoom mode, don't need to use PSP for that.

1888 just seemed like a good number to go with 1337. Plus, I hit 8888 saves myself yesterday, as you can see from that pic I've posted a couple times now, heh. Got 888s on the brain.

Search the net? There's free image programs everywhere. My VuePrint is like 6 years old or more and I did pay for it and register it, but I think it had a free version. Dunno if the company even exists anymore, though.

IrfanView is free, though. Try it out, it has plenty of image types supported, as evidenced by the fact I got it to deal with ico files.
