I dunno, man. Madness Day is gonna have a lot of catching up to do to get to Clock Day 2007 level spam.
That's why I wrote "at some point". :P
And I guess what I'm getting at is that... it's quite possible Madness Day will never top Clock Day's height.
We'll know the likelihood of that ever or never happening a little more... precisely... once August and September have passed us by here in 2008, methinks.
OMG. More exp topic reading for you, mister! :::writes you a prescription and signs it as Dr. Gregory House:::
*reads the signature*
hmmm
*throws prescritpion away*
God, I hate that guy. :P
NOOOOOOOOooooooooooo. ;_; How can you hate teh House?
God, I hate how that stuff tastes. NO WORRIES FOR ME.
I'm not that much into the "hard" stuff anyways, so I never drank it. ^^
I don't dislike it for anything to do with its alchie content. It's the weird rotten fruit aftertaste I don't like.
(Southern Comfort discussion, in case you'd forgotten)

I take it they both contain or somehow relate to 37? :::shudders:::
You're close...
SAY NO MORE. I'm sufficiently scared now.
Fire in the disco!

That was something, eh? And I thought Big Puma had a big night with 8.
Boomer's nicknames? I've not heard that one before, but I'd guess it was Lance Berkman.
Huh? Boomer?
Yes, Big Puma = Fat Elvis = Lance Berkman. My fellow alumnus of Rice. LONG MAY HE WAVE. :::salutes:::

Well, I like a lot of music, but I think of them as my #1 favourite. I have around 32 U2 CDs.
Wait, they have that many CD´s? 0.o I thought they just had 14 + a few "Best of ...".
They have 11 albums (Boy, October, War, Unforgettable Fire, Joshua Tree, Rattle and Hum, Achtung Baby, Zooropa, Pop, All That You Can't Leave Behind, How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb) to this point.
They have several EPs/live collections from the early days (such as Under a Blood Red Sky, live disc with 8 tracks, Wide Awake in America, 4 tracks... 2 new, 2 live previously released), and then there's the Passengers "Original Soundtracks 1" album that basically counts as a U2 album from between Zooropa and Pop in the mid-90s...
And on top of all of that, I have several singles of theirs, from War era singles to All That You Can't Leave Behind singles (i.e. from their third album to their next-to-most-recent album, I pretty much have 1, 2, or 3 singles from each album in between that range).
And yes, recently they've finally given in to the Best Of disorder.
At least they held out far longer than most bands do. Hell, they were almost already in the R'n'R HOF before they started releasing Best Of's. #;-}>
Which is 'Pride'?
Ayup.
Already? That seems ahead of pace for how they've been since 1993 (what with Pop in 1997 (SO FREAKING LONG AGO NOW, it's amazing), ATYCLB in 2001, I think it was, and what... HTDAAB in 2006? 2009 will be almost like their 1980s album release pace. O_O
Nah, HTDAAB was released back in 2004.
That long ago? Holy shit.
I think you´re confused with the 'U218 singles' album which didn´t contain much new stuff, except two new singles (which weren´t too good imo). Can´t really be considered a 'new album'.
No, I wasn't confused, I just have bad time perception.
So they are keeping their usual pace of one album every 3~4 years (and a few "Best of..." in between).
You make it sound like they were releasing Best Of's back in the 80s. #;-}> This is only their "usual pace" since Pop in 1997 or so. From 77 to 97, things were much different.

wow.... I can't believe a thread with such a cruddy first post has grown this far. Well, it was 2001.

Um... but anyway. I can't believe you're the 300th person to comment on the "cruddy first post" by spancker that started this topic.
However, I believe you're just the 2nd person to use the specific term "cruddy," so... congrats on that. The other 298 folks usually said "crappy" or "lame," scientific studies show.
um, I guess I should say something about leveling up, DEPOSIT!
How... pertinent.
