gfoxcook: Level 44 - Blades? I always thought these are Wakizashis (do I have to add the plural 's' there or not?)
Thanks again.
No, one of them is a katana, the other one is a wakizashi or a tanto (short sword or dagger, basically), which was worn as a close-quarters sidearm to the katana by a samurai.
Together, the katana + wakizashi or the katana + tanto were known collectively as the daisho, meaning "big and small," referring to both blades.
A blade is a generic term for any sword. That's why I said "twin blades." I wasn't actually titling the swords "blades." O_o
And no, there is no plural 's' in Japan. All this "sais" bullshit you keep seeing Bahamut doing is false. It's just two sai.
That's another reason I'll sometimes call them swords or blades, so I can just use English generic terms for them and not have to worry about others going "HUH??!?! YOU NO PLURALISE TEH WORDS." If I go around saying "those aren't two katana, dude"... instead of "two katanaS..." which is improper.

Butchers are more subtle than builders. We tend to indicate to each other than there is a nice looking lady around.
Backslang is a verbal language, so breasts becomes "T-Serbs", which is how we pronounce it, rather than being bothered
about the spelling. Something to do with spelling breast backwards, then adding the s for pluralisation.

Because my Helloween alt asked Haggard to listen to some Helloween while he was listening to Judas Priest. Also, both
bands are heavy metal and 'classic metal'.
I see.
Halo, Doom, and many more games are more controversial than FF.
Again... once Thompson's done with the more controversial ones, he'll go to the less controversial ones.
It's like the ol' poem about the Nazis...
"In Germany, they came first for the Communists, And I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist;
And then they came for the trade unionists, And I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist;
And then they came for the Jews, And I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew;
And then . . . they came for me . . . And by that time there was no one left to speak up."
Well, Jack Thompson first comes for the Manhunts, the GTAs, and the Bullys. And you didn't speak up because you weren't a fan of those games.
And then he comes for the Halos and the Dooms and the Quakes and the other less-bloody FPSes than the first tier... and you still didn't speak up, because you still weren't a fan.
And then he comes for the Final Fantasies, the Dragon Quests, the WoWs, the Might and Magics, the Everquests, the Baldur's Gates, and all the rest of the magic-related strategy and RPG games... and by then there were no other games left to play because not enough people stopped his assholery.
GAMERS UNITE, MOFO.
If Jack Thompson was trying to get "Pretty pretty princess and horse-grooming" games banned, I'd hate him just as much, because censorship is censorship.

They did it to me on three "every other days" in a week. i.e. like on M, W, and F only. It was so fucking weird. I don't tend to log until late in the day to maximise my saves take for the day, unless I've gotten so much the night before that I want to log earlier in the day... and when someone's already logged, it pisses me off.
The time you first log is forever stamped, you can't restamp it by relogging. But I still relog, of course, because *I* control what stat data is present for that damned day, not someone else. ;_;
But the worst part would be if someone logs on a day where I want to screenshot all three of my accounts on the frontpage of NG log together. I always take such screenies after logging for gfox, then gfoxclock, then gfoxcook, so my accounts are listed from oldest to newest in a row on the page, then screenshot them all together.
Fortunately, the rogue loggers haven't struck on a day when I was planning on screenshotting for any of the various reasons I do so, so... whew.
And they just generally seem to have stopped, anyway.
But in case the perp is reading this...
STOP EVER DOING IT AGAIN TO ME, YOU BASTARD. Do it to NG users that never use NG log, like Pimp or someone else. Sheesh. US REGULARS CAN TAKE CARE OF OUR OWN DAILY LOGGING, YOU MOFOS.

Haven't really been active on NG lately though, too busy. Perhaps I'll pick the activity up again, if not just to flaunt this iconic wonder.
Congrats on the level up Rage, but I know exactly what you mean. Leaving level 42 behind has been my saddest level up moment since the redesign as well. ;_;

Welcome back! Sorry to hear that vacations just aren't as good alone with yer 'rents. I take it having your sister along tends to allievate the effect a bit usually? Make sure you tell her you'll insist on her going as well from now on. #;-}>
Another thing, I fucking hate security checkpoints in airports and I fucking hate flight delays, most especially if there was a fucking kid right behind me screaming her fucking head off throughout the journey.
I've been on dozens and dozens of airplanes... probably 100+... during my life. But 80% pre-1991, and the rest from 1991 to 2002. I haven't been on a plane since 2002.
But anyway, time for me to do catch-ups on the BBS. I've already gone through checking all the artist news posts that I wanted to read, reading my friends' journals and have responded to all the latest reviews for my flashes.
I WAS WAITING FOR YOU BEFORE DOING MY OWN CATCHUPS!

Or 4321 or 4567 for that matter, if he wants other good ones near 4500.

Poor excuse!B) why does the Bishop take that whole clip to get around to getting revenge? Why not just turn around and kick Father Ted in the arse right away after he was?He was too shocked at the time.

No, it did happen. He was too shocked when he got kicked up the arse and didn't react until the Pope touched him.

gfoxcook: Level 44 - Blades? I always thought these are Wakizashis (do I have to add the plural 's' there or not?)
No, one of them is a katana, the other one is a wakizashi or a tanto (short sword or dagger, basically), which was worn as a close-quarters sidearm to the katana by a samurai.
They still look like two wakizashi to me... :P
A blade is a generic term for any sword. That's why I said "twin blades." I wasn't actually titling the swords "blades." O_o
Yeah, my bad. I thought "blade" is a special kind of sword. Translation error. ^^

At least they lost to the new NBA Champion. And at least the damn Lakers didn't win the championship again.
Because most Americans learn what little German words they know from movies like Indiana Jones and games like Wolfenstein 3D. #;-}>TOO BAD. VERBOTEN!Why is it that only the negative german words make it into the english language? -_- (except for "wunderbar" of course ;) )
And because germans are always the "bad guys" in movies or games. ^^
But wait, U2 taught the entire English-speaking world (and then some, most likely) "Achtung," and that's not exactly negative... YAY!
Yeah, but it implies that something dangerous might happen.
And "vorsprung durch technik," too! For those fewer fans of Zooropa vs. the massive amount of fans of Achtung Baby! of course.
And "Fahrvergnügen"! Oh yeah!
But I'd still say that most german words that are used in the english language are negative! ^^
