Yeah, but you guys have that whole Protestant/Catholic thing going on, as well. You can be Christian and STILL have plenty of people in your own city think you're evil, so.... Again, fractiousness... it dogs humanity to our doom.
That's a common misconception about Ireland, in the republic Christianity reigns, and in the North it's mainly prodistant, but there isn;t that many sectarian incidents anymore. If anything religion is playing less and less in fighting, it's more recial crimes. You'd be suprised how racist Irish people are. I get hostile looks just for having longish hair, we're not a very tollerant race. But I can remember when I was younger and religion played more of a role in daily life. And people couldn;t understand why my family didn;t go to church and stuff like that. It was definitely an experience.
Well, over here we call both the Republic and the North "Christian," it's the Catholic vs. Protestant conflict to us, didn't know you guys termed it differently.
I wasn't referring to simply violence, but just the cultural difference/conflict/incompatibility. Which you seem to be describing quite well.
You still pay only about half of what we pay, it's actually rediculous the price difference. It's like 1.20 Euro for a litre of the cheapest sort, I dn;t know
We used to pay 20% of what you pay, now we pay 50%. You can understand why we're upset.
You also have to understand that you guys do not drive anywhere near as much as we do. The nearest big cities to my city (Houston) are 180, 200, and 350 miles away. If you drove that far from where you are in a straight line, I'd wager you'd be in the Atlantic Ocean. Am I right?
And if you drive to those cities (Austin, San Antonio, and Dallas), you haven't even gone halfway across my state (Texas).
And my state, while big, is not even halfway as long as the full USA is.
Truck drivers who bring us our groceries and other products are having to pay nearly $4.00 per gallon of diesel fuel, when just 10 years ago it was $1.00 per gallon.
That's 4 times as much. They drive 1000s and 1000s of miles each week. It's killing our industries and business, it's absolutely ridiculous how the costs are increasing but wages are not.
So we may pay half as much as you, but we drive 10x as many miles as you, if not more. So.... ask yourself... who pays more, really? This is also why public transport doesn't work as well in the USA as it does in the UK, Ireland, and Europe in general. Distance kills profit/use by commuters/residents/travelers.

Thanks!
AC/DC - Thunderstruck
Boston - More Than a Feeling
Toto - Africa, Hold the Line, Rosanna
U2 - Mysterious Ways (live Brazil ´06)
I KNOW DOSE SONGS. I'm not super-familiar with Rosanna, though. The other two are the songs I think of when I think of Toto.

You're going for 72,000 saves? Holy shit.
Yep :p It´s a little high I know, but if I stop at numbers like yours, 24 or 36, I´ll be kicked out of the top 50 saviours list within a few years. I´d prefer to stay there a bit longer.
Yeah, but... but... wow.
Hmm probably Flash FM, but I´m not sure. Maybe V-Rock, but I doubt that.
Wild. So then I must know the song, just don't know the song title, then.
But of course. Check my faves section in my profile. It's right up there with U2 and Led Zeppelin on my "fave rock bands" list.
I haven´t listened much to Led Zeppelin yet, but I´m pretty sure I´ll like them.
.... dude. You gotta.

penta might come back, but automated lists, nope, they're well gone. :(
So it might yay for gfox now 3 entities can record me stats.
No one said anything about ME doing it. He means HE might start doing the pentalist. I've already given him my spreadsheet, the power is in his hands now. So no yay for gfox.
Yay for Bahamut. #;-}>

Heh, happy 2112 pages indeed, LUL. I'm not a hardcore Rush fan, but I've heard a bit, and I likey what I've heard. There was an article about their drummer in a magazine I used to get, showing his 30th anniversary kit, which basically completely encircled him. Fucking awesome.
Rush rock. I've got Chronicles, which is a GREAT best of album. 2 CDs, and the songs are in chronological order, unlike some crappy best ofs for other bands. There's 2-3 songs from most of their albums from the beginning until 1989, I think it is. Whenever Show Me Don't Tell Me is from.
And I have two of their actual albums. Want to get more eventually.

Hello stat lovers! I've been asked by Bahamut to make a post in the Level up Lounge, which has nothing to do with any achievements I've made. He's asked me to announce the super big achievement he just made. Right now, he has:
OH BOY.... wait for it... wait for it...
12,970 EXP 36,335 Blams 31,995 Saves 17,443 Posts 1,257 Flash Reviews
Add them all up and you get 100,000 total points! Yes, Audio reviews aren't counted there, but Bahamut claims that he and everyone should follow the stats that are counted towards total points on Newgrounds Log and gfoxcook's 2x10k pentalist.
0 plus 5 plus 5 plus 3 plus 7.... yep, that evens out with a -0 at the end. So I'll take your word for it on the 100k. #;-}> Congrats, Bahamut!

This post caught me by surprise Bahamut. If the some of the other active members feel it's time for another election I'd be willing to get the ball rolling. Just out of curiosity, wasn't Greg supposed to run the next one?
Other active members? That seems to be just Coop, Casualty and gfox. :( Myself, I feel now would be a good time for another election considering we've now got a bunch of newer users and we've not had an election for a year now. Also, gfox did an election back in August, but it didn't work out and claims that he won't do anymore of them. He was saying this in the Regulars List thread.
I didn't really get to the election. I started the "request for nominations" process, and it failed miserably.
I never said I'd never do one again ever, I just said the experience left me not wanting to do one for the foreseeable future, and that either Recon could run one if he wants to, or we could find someone else within the membership to run an election or two.
At 4/12/08 08:49 PM, ReconRebel wrote:
That makes five of us for starters Bahamut. I'll check gfox's list and PM all the active members when the time comes. Pull the nominees from the Regular's list and vote in three members? Open to suggestions. :-)
Coop, Casualty, gfox, Bahamut, and Recon... yet Recon says we have 7 votes, so who's the other 2?
And I certainly hope all five people being discussed in here last week have indeed all voted. IF NOT... WHO IS HE... SEND HIM PMS, RECON.
Er.... not PMS... PMs. #;-}>
