Mega Force was a line of toys put out by Kenner in 1989. They were small yet very highly detailed diecast military vehicles with bigger base vehicles. There was no cartoon to promote these toys, no storyline or characters. But that may be the reason they were my favorite toys (aside from Lego and Robotech).. I could imagine whatever I wanted about them.

So I decided to make a flash cartoon to give Mega Force a story. It's a 2-minute "opening sequence" that shows plot elements and characters like most television cartoon series have.

If Mega Force OP is well recieved I'll go on with more grand plans of mine, a four-part series of 6-7 minute episodes with voicing.

Thanks much =) The interim updates are primarily for the people still trying to make the top 50, or whatever target they currently have set for themselves. At that point, how much you are gaining in BPs is less important than how much in ranks. Looking at it as "I need 4k more and I only have 2k" makes the goal feel insurmountable. It allows them to set easier goals along the way ala "Ooo there's a bunch of slow people up there, maybe I can get 10 ranks."

In the top 50, rank gains of more than 1 in any 2 or 3 day time frame aren't unheard of, but are still uncommon. In that batch, it's more important to know how fast the person you are trying to catch is moving ... and how fast the person climbing up your back is =)

Would have posted this about five minutes ago, but then saw about six new portal entries and smelt blam points. Then IE died on me and I had to reload it and missed out on a couple... anyway, while rapidly approaching Police Captain (Monday I reckon, Tuesday at the very latest, today's been slow for b/p for me) I reached the minor milestone of 200 reviews. I was thinking what sort of review scores do I give? So I trawled through them and, unsurprisingly, it came up with a normal curve:

Ah well, off to creep towards 1000 b/p and get the hang of this Flash malarkey. I've got ideas but the skills of your average stick artist :-)

Congrats. I've always wanted to start reviewing more regularly, but I always hit a cool # and want to leave it there for awhile (I take profile screencaps at the top and bottom every couple days or so to capture my exp and b/p stuff). I've been at 69 for half a month or so. heh.

Interesting curve. Mine won't be the same as that, mostly because I review stuff I like more than I review stuff I don't like. With the exception of some obvious blamfodder I respond to with advice or admonishment (of the author of or stupid reviewers I will never be able to mark helpful or not helpful due to the movie never being destined to make it past 100 votes).

Just keep in mind that that's only reflective of what's IN the portal. Your bell curve is screwed right because of that. Anything that gets blammed removes your review of it from active, so you're missing a lot of low scores. My reviews would at least triple if they also listed all the blammed crap we review. Granted, a lot of them are me keeping score on the resubmits we kept blamming ... ala:

Urtfink's "The Yawn/The Bridge" : 0
D0GMA : 13
(that's the current high score LOL)

The one's I'd love to see are some of the one's I've written on blammed movies, and I'm sure everyone here has a few of them. If someone appears to have input effort and show promise, they'll get quite a bit more detailed reviews from me despite my knowing it's getting blammed. They worked on it, and it's not quite there, so I feel the need to go the "extra mile" for them. Hell, one guy had no e-mail, so I had to track down his web page from the flash in my Temporary Internet Files. I posted my review on his message board, since his flash got blammed while I was writing it lol

I see you're trying to catch _lightning_ in blam/protects. You should check out DOGMA's chart for your average daily gain and compare it to _lightning_'s. It should give you a good idea of what you need to pass him and others ahead of you. Hell spancker, there's even a few people ahead of me who average less points per day then I do. That suits me just fine.
