I'm not a big fan of calamari, but I've eaten them on occasion. I've never tried snails, but I'm not really sure I'd want to - they're pretty high on my "icky food" scale, although they don't beat fried spider. But then, nothing does.

Yeah, I had about that, and apparently, it is true. :) I've got a friend who lives near Hamburg, too; I could probably ask him whether he's heard about the whole thing, but I doubt he gave it much thought.
