Oh, it is a good read. :) The witch novels in the Discworld series are Wyrd Sisters, Witches Abroad, Lords and Ladies, Maskerade (although that one is more about the opera) and Carpe Jugulum - all quite worth reading. Technically, "Equal Rites" (one of the first Discworld books) also might be counted, since it's got an early version of Granny Weatherwax, but her character (as well as the Discworld in general) is not very developed there yet.

To the untrained eye, the rougher edges of Granny Weatherwax's character are barely noticable there, so I'd still say it counts. Everyone was young, once

Mmm, to me, Hogfather was OK, but not the best Discworld novel ever written - I prefer (outside of the aforementioned Maskerade) The Truth, Reaper Man and Men-At-Arms, for example. (I hope I got the titles right; I'm too lazy to look up the English ones...)
