Sorry to burst your bubbles fellow FF fans, but there are NO Weapons in FF9. There is an optional rather tough boss though, which takes the place of a Weapon. It is a large ball called Ozma - which is possible to beat on level 1. THAT, my friends, is the ULTIMATE FF9 challenge.

You can become a member by the current members voting on your possible admittance to the club. Anybody has a chance of joining but we admit newcomers quite infrequently now.

As Mr. James said when he beat me to it, no weapons in FF9. My gf got to Ozma recently. How on earth would you even find him in his little hideaway at level 1, eh? Does he scale to level or something? I remember beating him vaguely, but it's been so long.

It's actually quite interesting the effort you have to put into it to get there and still be at level 1. If you petrify or stop your enemies in battle then you don't get any exp for beating them. So in a nutshell, you have to go through the entire game like that. Or at least until you can get a Golden Chocobo to get into the Cloud level to play Chocobo Hot n Cold.

Personally, I've never beat him at all, even when my party was in the level 90's. Argh, I was so pissed when that save got deleted. I spent a lot of time training up my party and didn't even get to fight him when I had reached my peak. Although there was stil a ways to go.

End rant.

One hour to go and I'm outta here. The last 60 minutes is going to drag. Man I hope my relief shows up early. Want to go home & play game.

I suppose if I had rephrased my inital question, there would have been much less confusion. What I should have said is, "Are there Weapons in FF9". Since I knew that Recon had recently bought FF9, I made the assumption that the picture he posted (which I recognized as Emerald Weapon) was from it.

That's an insane way to go through the game, but I suppose if you've beaten it while collecting everything and leveling, beaten it while only getting the necessary stuff and speeding through, and you want a new way of going through the game, at that point I might consider the LEVEL 1 CHALLENGE! #;-}>
