I think you've confused reviewing with voting. To gain exp, you simply vote on the flash using the voting bar, do that five times, and then click the large link that says "click here to deposit your experience" Also, see this nice little picture as a visual aid on the topic:

To get experience points you have to vote on 5 submissions in a day, once you've done that you will be allowed to deposit your experience points and you will recieve 10 points for doing so.

You don't review, to get points, you have to VOTE on at least 5 movies, until you do get points. Read the picture, for more info.

You don't review submissions to get experience, you vote on them.

To get experience points you have to vote on 5 submissions in a day, once you've done that you will be allowed to deposit your experience points and you will recieve 10 points for doing so.

Anyway, another amazing feat by me yet another 4,096 character long review(yes, that's a review using all the characters).

That makes my second 4,096 character long review in a row, surely no-ones ever managed two consecutive ones before?

I'm not too pleased with that one though(it's the one for Littlefoot), it started life as a 6,111 character review, but I had to cut out so many paragraphs and sentences that it just didn't look good at all. In the end I couldn't cut out anymore and I had to abbreviate loads of words, which just made it look even worse :(

Its pretty easy til level 9 then it takes awhile to level up.

And then the amount needed increases everytime the level 30(s) deposit(for levels 10-30) Also none of us will reach level 30 =( only the top 2 EXP people.

Missing out on blam/protect points isn't really that big a deal -LazyDrunk-, you can always pick up where you left off without any fear of lost points. Experience however is an entirely different story. Miss a deposit and it's gone forever (and the backslide effect only makes matters worse).

I like to give the authors the benefit of the doubt. If I see a flash that really intimates effort put into it, I'll gladly give it a high score.

If the author really put effort into his or her work it will be evident to all who view it. I can't stand submissions that have super long intros only to have a little stick man run across the screen and jump up and down.

FBFs and anything with a coherent storyline also gets at least a 2 from me, oh about 97% of the time.

See now, these FBFs throw me somewhat. I've seen two FBF submissions of the same quality hit the portal within the same day and yet one was blammed and the other protected. These type of submissions seem to be growing in popularity with a number of flash artists.

I could have missed a thousand or so more blams, but I know I've gotten damn near every protect.

I can't even begin to count the number of b/p points I've missed due to voting incorrectly, lack of sleep, hitting the wrong button, watching the flash (while the last vote is being made), voting with the wrong account, and my personal favorite, voting while drunk and forgetting to sign in with my account (I lost 14 points that day).

First off I'd like to congratulate everyone on their recent achievements...

I wanted to post on here a while ago, but I wanted to wait for larger achievements so I wouldn't be annoying and go "YAY I MADE LEVEL 2" to everyone. I joined NG in early 2003 and left it alone for a while, but came back about a month and a half ago. I've hit quite a few milestones over that time, so here we go:

- Got to Level 9 (2 months away from lvl 10)
- Over 200 reviews
- Elite Guard Sergeant (3000 B/P, 2000 Blams, 1000 Protects)
- Over 6 votes of voting power
- Bronze Whistle
- Over 600 Posts

Again, it's not huge achievements, but I think it's good for about a month and a half...any comments anyone?
