Actually my friend got the 200th vote and it went down to 1.59 something very close. He got to see the flash showing it getting blammed. He should of taken a snapshot of deleting a crappy movie of the SS. It does this sometimes like less than a split second later someone else votes. So the score increased 2 points. It was close to 1.60. I've seen that happen twice now.

It would be nice for a 50,000 badge, three people would certainly agree. 250,000 is a bit much, that's 4 times as much as ramagi. 1,000,000 is impossible, no one would spend that much time b/p-ing, so we won't worry about it.

In a slow forum like this, maybe, but most people here are either smart enough to look at what they've written at or a new person who asks 'H0we do i gett balm points?!!11', making a button here useless in either case. In General, the topics would consist of "How many hours do you sleep/spend on the computer/etc" and would be 'editted' later to "How old are you?", 'revealing' many people to be younger than 13 (which is the minimum age you have to be to make an account here). I'm sure the people in General would find a lot of other ways to have fun with 'edits', so we'll probably never have it.

That was my thoughts exactly, just change the color of the EGSC background for a few of the ones after it, after that i have no idea. But the names of the ranks could be a bit hard, i mean whats better than EGSC?

"Better than EGSC"? "EGSC times 2"? "1337"? The names are a bit harder, but there are a few people giving ideas (some below). As for the colour, that's a bit cheap (although we wouldn't mind if they were 'temporary' badges while new ones were being created). Maybe something else, like a crown or a hat or even candy.

I thought you were reading it wrong, but you're right. Perhaps the score rounded off badly, or the 200th vote was lower than 1.6 and the 201th vote somehow got in and changed the score or it was manually deleted or anything with the word 'cool' in the title has to get at least 1.62 to pass. I just don't know, but the important thing is that it's gone.

Yeah, that wasn't really meant to be taken seriously. ^_~ Maybe 5K steps until 50K and then 10K steps until 100K would be appropriate? I'm not sure what the VP increase should be, considering that you only get +2% per rank until you reach rank 25, either, but I would like to see a situation where VP would be more dependent on BP and less on XP. After all, a high number of experience points mostly just means that you have been on the portal for a long time and deposited every day; the real, actual *experience*, in my eyes, is much more dependent on how many time you actually *spend* on the portal, so BP is probably a better measure for that and thus should get more influence on your VP.

But on the other hand, it wouldn't be good if those with much XP/BP would get *too* much influence compared to the mere mortals (so to speak), either - that could scare away people, who would (probably correctly) get the impression that their votes don't really matter compared to the VP gods. A theoretical maximum of 16.00 VP is quite a bit already, but imagine what'd happen if that increased to 20, 25 or 30 VP - or even more.

Yeah, 1 million wasn't really that serious. But generally, what's wrong with having the maximum possible rank have 4 times the number of points that even ramagi has these days? It should be something you can look up to, after all. ^_~

Thinking about VP increases some more, I think +2% per rank-up is probably a good idea when you go beyond EGSC, and in fact, I think that maybe the highest current ranks should also be adjusted to get +2% instead of +7% and +5%, respectively. It kinda seems like these odd increases were only established so that the highest rank would not have some odd VP increase like +52%, anyway (although I may be wrong), so maybe that should be adjusted again when more ranks are established. But that's just a random thought.

I think "Head Honcho" is cool, but Emperor is the most likely, I don't want to play God or save the Princess (who's in another castle).

Heh. "Emperor" sounds quite cool, yes, and it would allow you to name the new ranks below that in a nice way, too - you could have "Portal Knight", "Portal Baron", "Portal Earl", "Portal Duke", "Portal Arch-Duke", "Portal Prince", "Portal King" and "Portal Emperor" and all that stuff (or something similar, at least). And it would make it easy to design new badges, with crowns that get fancier and fancier as you progress towards Portal Emperor.

Or, considering that there already is an "Elite Guard Praporshchik", maybe it should be "Portal Tsar" instead of Emperor, too. :)
