Yeah we can discuss that here and in the forums but I would do it in the forums because the mods here may think that this crew is starting to become a political group.

How? where to different im a Communist your an american. Nomader is Jewish and the rest are Canadian even the CIA would have difficulty labelling use as a political group and as long as we keep it related to war im sure it'll go fine.

Errrrm ok how about this do you think a natinalist based theme like "for the motherland" or a religous one "in the name of are God" was more effective also was there any slogans in a movie or game which seemed more effective like "its better to die for the Emperor then to live for yourself".

Ice? ice! I am not American soldier. I am British. Well from Cymru.

Look take 1 teabag then put in teapot. Then fill kettle with water then set it to boil.
Once boiled pour into teapot then once cooled pour teapot into mug. Add milk and stir.

Simple.

Never. Plus might i add that most Americans only drink Coffee(disgusting) or this ice tea (blasphemy). And have never tried a proper mug of brew. Ive tasted all three and found the other to disgusting. Plus i believe i asked for a milky cup of tea.

also i joined the forum just to let you know.

Ah the good old cup of tea, i can never start a day without it (unless I am in battle)
Well anyway I know there has been some funny stories over the years with objects saving people. For example a phone deflecting a bulltet, well, has anyone got any?

Why all the tea all of a sudden? Theres a tea drinkers club- take it there...

Well anyway I know there has been some funny stories over the years with objects saving people. For example a phone deflecting a bulltet, well, has anyone got any?

My grandfather told me his tale:

During the Second World War, my grandfather fought in Italy as a Canadian radioman. (He used the radio shown in THIS Picture. An "18 set" is the name).

Well during one particular battle, he was in a foxhole with his 18 set in front of him. He was calling stuff in while fiddling with the dials on the set (so his head was out of the foxhole).

An artillery shell landed 10 meters in front of him. A piece of shrapnel the size of one's hand flew through the air and embeded itself in the 18 set - but only stopping when it was about 1 inch away from my grandfather's nose. He recalls that the shrapnel was still red hot.

He has an eternal love for the 18 set because of that day, and when he went to the National War Museum a few years ago, he found himself staring at one for 30 minutes. (coincidentally, oneof the museum staff had been in my grandfather's platoon, so they had a reunion).

And thats the tale about how if you need to poke your head out of a foxhole while getting shelled, make sure a big metal box is in front of your face :)

[and if the link is dead (cause it was hella long) just go to google > images > searchterm "18 set" > page 2, first hit (the one of the soldier diorama)]

I would be crying to if the 18 set hadn't been there (and yes, I would still have been born, but my grandfather would have had his head blown off. Which is teh sucky)

PS - NO MORE TEA!!! (Link is to The Tea Drinker's Club)

that is amazing saved by the radio.i guess a few soldiers were saved by equipment.for example i think every soldier had to carry a bible in front of the heart and if a bullet hit it it slowed the impact not fataly killing the soldier.

That is a story I have not heard of before, do you have a link or is it something from another source.

I never heard that in military terms, but I remember a news story about how a shooter in a christian book store failed to kill a guy cause the guy had a hard-cover bible in the way of the bullet.
