Did you list your absolute favorite song by the artist?
Or did you have some where you had to make some hard choices.

why "lol"?
Is if funny that I named the song the actualy way it should be, instead of using the lame-ass title they gave it?

Yeah just songs I liked. No I didn't try to be a fancy-schmancy smarty-pants by naming obscure shit no one can find. I don't listen to that anyways, because I can't find any! Surprise. Not really any hard choices. I mean, 200 artists, that's a lot.

I didn't see any songs by Talvin Singh, Daler Mehndi, Sanjay Mishra, Ravi Shankar, Deepak Ram, Skihkumar Khan, Sameena Gupta or Bali Sagoo.

When they make good music, they can make my list.

Those were nice choices, at least those that I've heard. Except there wasn't enough electronic music on that list. Daft Punk, Eiffel 65 and Kraftwerk were good choices, though. Also, you used too much stuff from the 80's, but the good thing about that is that most of them rock. And Amerika is NOT one of Rammstein's best songs. Other than that, I'd probably agree with that list up to 85 %.

At least you didn't put anything like Greenday in there.

Response to 200 songs by 200 artists 2005-07-23 10:33:07

what a great list. thats all i can say...some i don't agree on and some i think that artist has had better hits than the one you chose, but in short, for 200 songs, they are a great 200 songs.

This too will pass.

I'll comment on the songs I've heard.

At 7/23/05 10:18 AM, -poxpower- wrote: 1- Ac/Dc TnT

What? Come on, they, along with KISS, AC/DC is one of bands that does the "let's just repeat everything a million times" songs the most >:(

3- Aerosmith – Walk this way

Yeah, pretty catchy.

13- B-52s Rock Lobster

Haha, yeah, good times.

17- Beach Boys – Surfin’ USA

I dunno...kinda lame.

19- Beatles - Yesterday

I love that song. It's sad :( And short too.

20- Billy Idol – Rebel Yell

Meh.

24- Blue Oyster Cult – Ballroom Blitz

It's halfway super annoying, and halfway freakin' awesome. The chorus is great fun, but that begining...ugh.

26- Bon Jovi – You give love a bad Name

Best bad breakup song ever. Seriously, some bitch rips you heart out, just crank up the volume and put on repeat.

27- Bonnie Tyler – I need a Hero

I really love this song...when cut. It drags on when unedited.

30- Carl Douglas – Kung Fu Fighting

Pure classic.

44- Daft Punk – Work It / Harder, better, faster, Stronger

The version used in that one Flash = <3
Real version just isn't as cool.

45- Dead or Alive – You Spin me Right Round

Too catchy for it's own good. I like it, it just gets in your head TOO easily.

46- Def Leopard – Rock you like a Hurricane

Yeah, it's pretty good.

49- Devo – Whip It

Haha, um. Ok.

57- Dusty Springfield – Son of a Preacher man

Annoying...kinda.

69- Flash Dance – She’s a Maniac

Haha, just makes you want to dance.

70- Flock of Seaguls – I ran

That's been stuck in my head at work.

95- Jefferson Airplane – Somebody to love

My parents cover that song, that's the only way I know it.

96- Joan Jett and the Blackhearts – I love Rock and Roll

No.

98- John Williams – Imperial March

Hell yes.

99- Journey – Any way you want it

Ugh, bad memories of a car commerical. I think Ford.

100- Judas Priest – You got another thing comin’

Pretty good.

102- Kansas – Dust in the Wind

Awesome song.

105- KMFDM – Mortal Kombat Theme

Again, hellz yes.

106- Kraftwerk - Popcorn

It's quirky, but I've heard better.

111- Led Zeppelin – Stairway to Heaven

It's a classic.

116- Men At Work – I come from a land down under

Luff ^_^

118- Metallica – Enter Sandman

Way fucking overdone now. I hate all of the losers that listen to it.

119- Michael Jackson – Smooth Criminal

As much of a freak he is, MJ kicks ass.

123- Monkees – I’m a believer

Eh, Greenday probably covered it better.

126- Nena – 99 luftballoons

Dude, the cover by Goldfinger is godlike. Totally pwns Nena's version.

132- Ozone – Dragostea Tin Drei

Dispite how much you may hate it, it's still a good song.

133- Ozzy Osbourne – Crazy Train

Best opening riff ever! The rest of the song is quite good too, but I love that opening.

138- Pink Floyd – We don’t need no education

Eh, I'm tired of it. Besides, the song is "Another Brick in the Wall". I don't know which part the famous one is though.

146- RadioHead – Paranoid Android

I wasn't too impressed when I hread it.

152- Rocky Horror Picture Show – Time Warp

I had to play that in my high school band :/

167- Survivor – Eye of the Tiger

Ha, love it. One of those classic movie songs...over a movie I've never seen.

172- Texas Faggot – Back to Mad

Rockman Neo makes that song blow my mind.

179- The Kinks – What I like about you

Catchy...but a little old.

180- The Knack – My sharona

Just know the Taco Bell spoof :P

185- They Might be Giants –Boss of Me

^_^ TMBG rock

186- Third Eye Blind – Semi Charmed life

Ha, I just know the Weird Al polka version anymore.

187- Three Doors Down – Kryptonite

I remember it on the radio...don't remember how it goes though.

189- TV themes – Power Rangers Theme Song

Fuckin' A man. That song RULES. The guitar work is top notch stuff. Plus the original Power Rangers rocked anyways.

190- Twisted Sisters – We’re not gonna take it

I love that song. I played it too much though so I've taken a break...for about a year.

192- Van Halen - Jump

Eh.

195- Wang Chung – Everybody Have Fun Tonight

Heh, barely heard it.

197- White Lion – Transformers Theme

I didn't know they did it. I knew Danny Elfman did the original.

199- Yes – Owner of a Lonely Heart

Great song.

_____________

All in all, I agree with your musical taste Pox. Quite good, quite good.

yeah, you're list is composed mostly of singles which shows you haven't really listened to the best songs by these artists. And on top of that problem, you screwed up some of the list. Learn to spell Def Leppard correctly next time, and, by the way, they didn't do "Rock You Like a Hurricane," that was the Scorpions you dim fuck. And one more thing, the Pink Floyd song you alluded to, "We don't need no education," is listed by the wrong title. It's real title is "Another Brick in the Wall(Part 2)." If you're going to lie about how great you are, at least check the facts you ignorant fuck.
