Ok, so we heard about the new system coming to Newgrounds. Tom announced that Newgrounds users will be able to use a Private Messaging system. Well, with my experience with PMS (no, not that one!), it's basically the equivalent to a site-only e-mail system for users. I just wanted to explain that to the people who had no idea what it was.
I'm actually happy for this. In some ways, this allows a lot of things to be done. For example, when the mods cut the sig topics from General, you can now request sigs from people by using PM. Also, if you're banned, you could still talk to friends who may not have IM. But with the bright side of this, comes the obivious darkness. First, this sets up a whole new system of ¥¥¥. Also, I won't envy the mods, admins, and other popular users, who most likely will have to deal with bothersome people even more. I assume there will be some strict limits (messaging quotas, inbox size limits, etc.). But since I assume this system is in the preliminary stages of development, I also have some questions about it that may already be concieved ideas, or could be implemented. First, will the system work the same as the BBS, in which you have a topic, your User ID, your message, and a signature at the end? Also, would you be able to upload pictures (the same as you can do here)? But most importantly, will there be a whistle feature in case you're spammed by someone?
Once again, I'm glad to see yet another cool, inovative feature on the site, and thanks to Tom, James, and all the other dudes who works so hard on this site. So is anyone else hyped for this?
