This is my alt account...

As you may know,I came up with my WaterBottleClock character(I'm Thoms2005,check my movies and crap to see the crap I made with my character...so,I decided to finally work on my character again and create another movie.I added shading this time and some stuff.

Tell me if I need to fix some shading or something.

If your smart enough,you would have clicked and seen the clock by now lol.

Sure, what's the code you have now? Include instance names.

I take that back by the way, I have to go. Still do what I said and someone else will help you. If not, I'll be back in a couple of hours.

No way, I made this a few weeks ago and it looks like I used this code.

But I didn't, this is the first time i've really looked at this topic and realeased it uses the same methods as I did. :'(

Sorry for bumping an older thread, but I just came accross this thread and decided to show a clock I made about a year ago, it's also a coo coo clock :D, it goes off every hour.

http://img320.images..p?image=clock3ew.swf

It's a TINY bit off because of the number positions which was hard for me to get exact back then, but it still is kewl :D.

Response to Real-time Clock Tutorial 2006-01-02 20:09:28

Oh, one more thing, Glaiel, I know this was an old post, but you said you did a "tiny bit of work" to make this. Did you really write this? Or did you just steal the code from Flash 6's samples? ;)

Response to Real-time Clock Tutorial 2006-01-27 17:48:29

it wont move when I make the movieclip and put in the code. it just sits there! help!

Now, all you need is a dynamic text box in the clock symbol, and set the "variable" part to "disp".

I made an mc then i put 3 dynamic text boxes inside. in the mc i put your code. I either get an error or nothing shows at all... Can u put step by step instructions or explain plz.
Your regular clock tut was awsome though!

How do I change the time zone? My clock is 3 hours ahead. I;ve looked at other examples and some have the time need, and some are totally off.

That one's simple, just put a +3 on where it says what number the hour should be.

Nice tut here, although I have to say I saw it outdone by a tut I found somewhere that was all in all less than 1kb, and had the whole clock face drawn super accurately (no human error) in actionscript.
But does anyone know how to make the clocks have one time whatever your pc clock says? Because if you want it to say the time of a timezone that's GMT+4, although putting +4 onto it would work here in the UK, would it also work in the USA? If not, what can we do to make it?

Response to Real-time Clock Tutorial 2006-07-26 13:15:46

If you want a second hand that moves all the time like this
replace the second hand script with this

secondHand._rotation = myDate.getSeconds()*6+(myDate.getMilliseco
nds()/166.66666666666666666666666666667);

The Clock Crew have had this sort of thing for a while. Although people usually just rip off the clock of Strange or Virus. Me I coded mine by myself using the tutorial on the Clockopedia page of clockcrew.net.

Here is my clock by the way.

You have to do

hHand._rotation = (1/(24/(hours+minutes/60)))*360;

instead.
