As for the time allotments, it's apart of the contest, I can make exceptions, but I'd like short songs so it's to the point so that we can make a clear decision.

Oh yeah, a question for you (anyone that can answer): Is the rating system going to be all, technical and stuff? I mean, are the tracks going to be rated by Quality, Originality, use of instruments, depth, rhythm and such; some weighted more than others? Or is it going to be more simple with just a grade on them?

I'd use an in depth rating system just like that so it can be detailed to the artists if they didn't win.

In my opinion remix's of game music are original as long as they do not conform to the same exact melody. I have previous VG songs I have yet to put on NG also that I could remix. He did say any genre and I allready started working on the song 2 days ago..its a videgame remix. If Erkie, who is in charge of this contest would like to ban the use of any videogameish songs he should say something soon so that I dont put all my effort into nothing. So Erkie if you have anything against the use of videogame remix's please say something and I guess I'll drop the song I'm on and make a new one. No heard feelings either way I just wana know lol because that was made unclear I guess.

VG is, yes, in fact a genre, but note I said original, it has to be your own video game song, which seems to be just as you planned.
