I need to change from a sort of upbeat chorus which we have here, to darker sounding verses. It was going great but than I sort of fell into that slump where you can hear what you want to play in your head but for some reason you cant find it on your instrument.
Help and suggestions would be appreciated.
Been four months since I had anything new - but I blame one hellride of a semester and a five year old computer I finally had to bury a month ago. So now I'm running new equipment and I've taken a completely new approach to my sound. So here's Exhibit A:

I used to write video games and I was thinking about how whenever I was working on a fangame I'd always have to try and emulate their graphics style. Well branching from that I tried to write a piece that was meant to be in the style of music of a game, namely, Megaman X5. This piece wasn't originally meant for anything (I haven't been writing games for months), it was just to see what I could do.
Support a local composer. All you need to contribute is $10.00 per hour, for sixty years.

I had my band learn it, and it kind of rekindled my interest in it after playing it through with 'em.
This one isn't that long, vaguely sounds like something you'd hear in F-Zero. Mixed the drums more then I usually do, and it's sorta cheerful. When I was making this, I was thinking of speeding down the road with the win blowing in my face. Ok, kinda cheesy lol. But w/e, hope you like it.
