The reason behind 2-3 weeks of no submissions (and a bit of schoolwork)
My best DnB drumlines to date, and one of my best songs :D
All right, you guys. Simon-F and I collaborated on a piece which was just finished. He and I are very proud of it. It's in D minor. The instrumentation is as follows: Piano, Solo Violin, 1st violin section, 2nd violin section, Viola section, Cello section, Double Bass section, Tubular bells, Glockenspiel, and timpani. After 7 long months (since April) we are done. I really hope you all enjoy it.
The piano introduces the first theme softly, then while the bass strings come in, it plays the secondary theme. After this the entire orchestra (save the glockenspiel and timpani) join in playing this secondary theme (with the viola actually having the melody). After a repeat, an alternate ending of the melody is played.
Next a kind of short middle theme is played by the piano and first violins, accompanied by the double bass. This takes us into a grand restatement of the firs theme, with 2nd violins playing a variation, and timpani finally entering. The melody cuts off after the dominant (e.g. before resolving) and then we go into a quiet atmosphere of soft strings, pizzicato cellos, and glockenspiel. Shortly the solo violin comes in and together it and the violas play this short theme which was just introduced by the pizzicato cellos. The strings now play a very short marcato part with underlying cellos.
Now the piano plays a variation of the first theme alone. Now the strings and glockenspiel play this variation a few times. Next a restatement of the secondary theme is played, with a different ending than earlier heard. It resolves. Now the cellos and basses play the first theme as first heard, with the full orchestra joining in at the last moment for a grand finish.
Well, there you have it.

This is probably the best track i have made. Mainly because of the vocals i wrote and the awesome riffs i played. The drums and bass also fit amazingly well with the song. I have to say that this is probably better than all of my Vigrond tracks combined. The song is called Beautiful On The Inside and can be found Here.
