You should join the VAA. There are tons of projects to audition for there, and if it helps you feel any better, I rarely get roles there either except for extras, and I've been there since April. Grr..too many talented people. Anyway, you are welcome to join the club. Just fill out the following info:
-Your name or screen name
-Gender
-Age range (not how old you actually are, but what ages you are able to sound like)
-Specialties (screaming, anime voices, monster voices, etc.)
-Resume URL (if you have one)
-Example(s) of your voice
-Ways to contact you

Oh and you guys, please post samples of your voice! It makes it easier for producers if they can get an idea of what you sound like. You don't have to mix an entire voice demo with music and all (It took me about 5 months before ever making my first crappy demo) but you can get a fairly good recording program at http://audacity.sourceforge.net; just find a free host such as ripway.com and post a link here.

PS - I will be happy to mix someone's demo for them if they need it! All I ask for in return is just some form of credit when you post :3 such as "mixed by Kagome", or something like that. If you want to see an example of a demo I mixed go to http://home.ripway.com/2004-11/210218/newanimedemo.mp3 ..yeah, that one's mine. not the greatest, but it makes everything sound cooler if you have music, and the volume evened out to some extent.

I've been watching Ranma 1/2....*ideas for Akane preview come to mind* She has such a cool voice. The other voice I wish I could do (besides Kagome from InuYasha) is Sakura from Naruto.

Haha, okay, so as if the post above wasn't long enough, there's more. I auditioned for a Full Moon wo Sagashite fandub today. I tried out for practically every girl part and when going down the list I came across auditions for extras. However, instead of audition lines, it said "There are many extras needed, so just say something a random person would say in a typical conversation about music."

Well, guess what. I was bored. And my friends here such as Seiyru-kun know the craziness that comes out of that :P So, in anything BUT a typical conversation about music....

Haha thank you. I wasn't seriously voice acting in any of that - just messing around - so I thought my Kagome voice sucked..you should check out Seiyru's Inuyasha dub ^^;; Yeah, my goal is to someday be able to reproduce Moneca Stori's Kagome.

My bass was only $75 cause the volume knob was broken...it's the same color as Haruko's except for it doesn't have the white part.

I'll take a look at that..is there a link for it that you can direct me to? ..and I think you're pretty close to reaching that goal of yours.

...o.o You sound almost like her. And the clip was pretty good, besides a few voices...and why did the person who played Inuyasha sound a bit weird? I'm guessing he overdid the noise removal tool, or something. But overall, it was a fairly decent clip. ^.^
