Ive been reading a bit of mort ists very good so far a kid being deaths assiatnaty would be a great job for apprentinceship.

Death is actually my favvourite character in diskworld him and rincewind death is just so calm and the fact that he is death itself is really appeling

I just finished sourcery i loved i would recommend it to everyone here there is a great bit with beers the 3 riders of the apocrolapse and a lot of beer and nuts

Being DM is no fun you have to be the pain in the arse paladin or the monk. Monks kick ass :-)

Im surprised there seems to be more people that play Dnd then I thought there would be.

Once me and my friends made a HUGE game of D&D with All the map pieces and all the monsters and loads of traps,we even made up our own traps :D.It was almost impossible......we tried it once but them the 2 of the 'Heros' died and then they got bored.
We still have the layout of it so we can play at any time hehehe

Though not quite as much as my mighty 15th level Elven mage, armed with a +4 mighty flaming burst composite longbow and his little box on legs. Everyone shall either love or fear the name of Ivellios Liadon.

Fortunately, since copyright laws don't affect D&D, I'm in the clear.

I remember someone talking about the "Fighting Fantasty" books and so I bought the first one I could find:DeathTrap Dungeon and its very good, kind of like a pocket D&D except with more to do with things like experience points. But I still think D&D rules over all other board games :P

Response to The Book Club 2004-11-01 17:10:33

I wouldn't really call D&D a board game, because unlike conventional board games like Monopoly and Cluedo, there isn't really a set board for you to use. I have played it using a scrap of paper with coffee stains on for a vague map, all the way to a scale battlefield for the invasion of an enemy empire.

There are a lot more possibilities with D&D.

What's everyone's favourite D&D setting. I love the planes (Planescape in 2nd Edition)

Hmm, off topic no ?

Well ive been reading more and more into the Hitchikers Guide, and its one of the most twisted, hilarious books ive ever read, so much fun in the book its unreal, but i guess thats what the author wanted to do.

There is a fine line between Genius and Insanity.

Border control between the two nations didn't function for Douglas Adams.

Though he may seem a little odd, he is the sole reason I read so much today, and probably why my sense of humour got me to this site.

My favourite Fighting Fantasy is 'Trial of Champions' because it was the first one I read. I don't have my collection any more, as I sold them to my cousin, but I only had about 10 of them.

Back on topic, have any of you guys ever heard of Anne McCaffrey of Julian May?
