WHFS?

Was it gfox who came with this idea? Anyway, great idea!
Hey now. I just made an offhand remark about it, and Redcircle ran with it. So all credit (and/or blame, depending on your perspective... (cough)Bonus(cough)) is due to him. #;-}>

The first time I read your post, I didn't see the boldfaced "r" in carpet. As a result, I thought the message was "Fuck you, Mom!" I was wondering... why the hell does Denvish have such latent hostility towards his mother? #;-}>

I like what you did with the removal process, it should work nice like that.
Of course you like it. YOUR NAME IS REMOVED, after all. Any sort of removal process is right up your alley.

HORRAY I VOTED :D, i also bet gfox got them in like lightning ;o
Why do you bet that? The only time I really wanted to vote that badly in one of these regular elections was to get EKR in. And you guys finally got him in yourself (albeit a month too late, in my eyes), so... yeah.
I sent my votes soon after RC sent out the mail only because I happened to check my mail that night. I check every few days, so it was just coincidence. If I hadn't been doing a mail check that night, I might not have seen the mail until today when it's too late (as I haven't checked my mail again since that night, so... yeah).

I take back the horray, RC, the whole members voting too ... is stupid, i mean what if 1 random member thinks a person on the list is bad, and two regulars joke about it, BAM, no more regular, and the descripitions don't help matters either, i liked ONLY us regulars voting, we are around like as much if not more than most members these days :(, and if i get boo'd for that comment, too bad
I take back my votes RC, i am not for this change :(
What the hell changed in 1 hour, man? You read the whole post by RC about the removal process? Listen up:
I... GFOX... DIDN'T VOTE TO REMOVE A SINGLE REGULAR.
I probably never will. I don't like removal votes. We don't have them in the membership elections, and I'm quite happy about that. Therefore, since they are optional in the regular elections, if those remain open to members as RC wants them to be, I will probably never use the removal option.
I can't speak for all the members, but why on earth are you so afraid of us ousting people just because we don't like them. That's insane.
You know, it's not a very good showing of trust for regulars who presumably want to be members (not all of you do, I know, but some of you certainly do, some of you certainly have COMPLAINED about not being chosen ahead of Alkador, for instance)... to insult all of the members who went out of their way to try and help with this month's regular vote.
AFAIK, it was only me, redrum, and X who voted, anyway. Most members either didn't see the mail or didn't care to participate. Are you really that paranoid that you think me, redrum, and X are out to get you or anyone else? That's pathetic, Bonus. What the hell.
So anyway, feel free to remove the members from the regulars election process. I actually don't care that much either way. As I said, I just said that thing about "if RC wants regulars to be considered as a training ground for members, then shouldn't the members have a say in who's a regular?" thing because it occurred to me, not because I was on some insane powertrip where I wanted to run this topic. This is RC's topic, and he can run it however he wants. The only problem I've ever had with him was when he tried to tell me I had to run my memberlist topic the same way he runs this topic. #;-}>
So whatever. You guys vote, or RC makes a decision since it's his lists and his topic, or you all have a flamewar. Just ask yourself: is it worth it?
First we have the pieoncar thread flamewar of March, then we have the memberlist thread flamewar of April, now are we going to have the RCVL thread flamewar of May? What the hell is wrong with us here in Wi/Ht? nowadays? Has the loss of so many statlists really rotted our brains that fast? It's stupid.

All this drama is fucking stupid !
It's becoming a regular occurance on this forum, as I just mentioned.
Surelly having more voters will make the outcome more fair, as it allows more people whom all brows this forum on a regular basis, to get a say in the matter, therefore allowing the outcome to be more fair, which is what you want isn't it?
And it gives members more incentive to vote for the regulars they helped elect into the regulars list... when it comes time to vote for new members of Wi/Ht?. But apparently that part doesn't appeal to Bonus and the others. :::shrugs:::
Just because the wi/ht members aren't a part of the list is doesn't make them any less imformed does it? Whay does everything always have to be so difficult, why not atlesat give these now methods a chance before bashing them.
Well, people are afraid of change. That much is clear. All three of the above flamewars I mentioned were due to change:
A) due to Wade threatening lawsuits due to the effect NGLister has on the database server.. and thus stopping many stat lists.
B) due to Alkador being elected into the Wi/Ht? membership over people seen as more qualified than him.
C) due to RC trying to expand the voting population for his own RCVL.
Change is dangerous, I guess.

Well, I appreciate you and Tom's open attitude to change, but as I said, in all honesty you and everyone else won't hurt my feelings by making it regulars only again, so do what you feel is right. I really don't care that much either way, I voted to try and participate in RC's new vision for a more closely related regularship and membership, that's all.
