That's just the way Wi/Ht works. Generally, there's a certain type of person (or two) that will make Wi/Ht their NG home... primarily, stat-whores, but the ones that stay, and post helpfully, are the ones that become Wi/Ht regulars/members.
Quite a few users have stayed here for a short time, but found that they got bored with the way things are handled in this forum. The ones that stick around for more than a month, and make regular and useful posts, are the heart of Wi/Ht, and recieve recognition for it (as in, inclusion in an online list ;)
Yeah, I guess you could call it elitist or something, but we all serve a purpose on NG; and providing answers for n00bs & keeping track of stats is what the average Wi/Hter keeps visiting NG for.

That's true too, I have to agree when I first came here in December, I really had a warm welcome by this stupid person called RedCircle (<3) and from then on, people were really nice and I decided to stay. You have the forum in your BBS signature, that's nice of you. You must be a lurker I assume.

Thats probably true, i feel i do help alot in question topics also. But now with alot of the lists dieing, it's harder to be active in them.

Of course being a mod, can draw you away fom your usual posting habbits. I find there is often more questions being asked in general, because alot of the newer members don't even know about this place. I try to re-direct them, for future refrence.

It's not hard to stay for a month, and keep up because lately it's been very slow, and there are usually 5 people in this forum.

uhh, I keep the same email adress for MSN. Most people are still able to contact me anyway.

bah, it's not as easy to stay active as it used to be. This forum became boring without most of the lists.

And i would have to agree that you get to know people better in the Wi/Ht? forum. I never had any Ng people on my MSN until i joined this forum... now i got a good chunck of NG users on my MSN.

Urgh, I don't know why I still travel there. Probably for the fact that alot of Wades topics that are of importance, like in regards of the blank screen flashes, he doesn't make NG News, and I'd miss out on that kind of stuff. That, and I love a good laugh everynow and then. But I prefer the C&C to all fourms IMO. It's orderly in there for the most part, and I know most of the people in there as well from being in so many clubs over the year. Not to mention helping out the new people who accidently post stuff that should be in the General Fourms in the C&C. Copy clubs, redirecting them, etc. I try and help out those new people to the fullest, whilst trying to save them from the hell fire they might encounter.[ie QuikFox at times] But I feel bad for you Bob, there are enough mods that prefer the General Fourms, and enough in there to take care of things, so I don't see why you should loose you brain cells over modding that quagmire. And in all honesty, I don't know why some mods dislike/hate the C&C. I guess they are just sad that they aren't cool enough to be part of any of the wonderful clubs in there. I weep for them. :'( And Dobio needs to come back to the C&C and start posting in the clubs that he's a member, or once was, of. Well, the ADG is dead now, since Vash is gone. :/

Good for you. I'm a statswhore that loved the lists. I got tired of the LUL because it's full of congrats list and helping others gets boring after a while. That's why I took a short break and now, I hope that this forum will be more interesting than during the month of March.

I have to agree with you. I was never on any of those lists, so I didn't make any difference to me. In fact, absolutely nothing has changed and Wi/Ht? has been just as fun. But the more time I spend in here, the more fun it is. I think we just need to find other ways of having fun apart from lists.

Ya, i understand what you are saying. I myself am not a statwhore so much so it was never the lists that attracted me in the first place. It was helping people whenever i can and having a place to post more intelligently and kind of form a little group of NG friends. Before i joined the Wi/Ht? section i had something like 500 posts that were random and long before my year leave, so i was kind of starting fresh anyway.

I do like both this and the EGRL updates, but in effect i have little to do with either as of yet. I hope to make most of the remaining lists so i can post more actively, but for now I will stick to posting less frequently in list threads and stick to helping the LUL unless i have a viable thing to say somewhere else. The lists were more interesting for me on a viewing level than an active one, because i never made any anyway, so i never really got into the stat whoring.

Well, if you compare yourself to me, you were in this forum for another reason. I won't hide it, what I prefered in this section of the BBS was the lists. That was the case for most wi/ht? posters. Sure, the lists aren't the only reason that explains why I posted here because I didn't leave. Something else is keeping me here. What's my explanation? I think that i prefer the discussions going on in this section than in the politics section or the full of trash general forum. The fact that most retards post in the general forum instead of here also affects my decision.

Well, some members/regulars are currently demanding some modifications into the other list so we would obviously have to wait until everyone agrees about what the other list should become and who should be accepted. RC's rules for this list would oblige him to remove both of you but like I said, the current situation is different. RC could modify the affected rule, remove whoever gets in the memberlist for sure or he's maybe waiting for the end of the month update which includes the voting process. so yes, I will be patient but I expect him to tell us what's going to happen.

Oh, no I just thought you were going to comment on SK and my presence on the list or something. I have a feeling that we're going at the end of the month, which seems fair I suppose. Anyway, RC is changing some parts because of the change, but I am not entirely sure as to what is really happening. Anyway, you be patient. Don't forget he'll be needing your proper e-mail soon as well or you won't be informed like last month. ;)
