this event will be very similar to the love letter event i hosted back in February, except it will run for longer and focus on shouting out artists in general instead of highlighting the work of someone who you're close with.

"what do we do?"

firstly, you think of a user you'd like to shout out. then, you go to the google forum i have prepared and answer a couple questions about them and their work (you dont have to answer every question!). then, throughout the months of june and july, i'll post up to one shoutout a day on my account news. you and the person you shout out will be @'d in the post.

RULES

• the user you write about must have contributed atleast 2 solo works to newgrounds whether it be art, movies, audio or games. 
• keep what you write at a t rating. Only link projects to show off up to a t rating.
• Do not shout out someone who has you blocked or otherwise wants nothing to do with you. 
• you need to answer atleast four questions for your shout-out to get posted.
• please do not submit a shout-out that is only a shitpost and nothing else
• rule breaking shout-outs will not be posted

I hadn't even thought about it, but now there are two of us asking, although I've already uploaded my share anyway.

I do check the persons account uploading before I post the newsposts to make sure they have interacted with the person they're writing about on the site before and that it seems like something that came from them. I don't think there would be a lot of incentive to impersonate someone for this event. if someone did, I would delete the fake submission. Maybe next time i should make it a rule where you have to also reply to the thread when you submit your forum as confirmation you specifically submitted it?

I had no such issues with impersonation last time I hosted an event like this, so there's (hopefully) nothing to worry about
