Closing Thoughts

My overall impression of March was that a ton of really high quality works were shared! Just going through the top 50 movies, it’s impressive the whole way down. I hope people take some time to explore it all.

Feature-wise, PsychoGoldfish announced a Newgrounds.io library for ActionScript 2.0, replacing our old Flash API for the Flash Forward Jam and beyond. It also includes features from our modern API, like Cloud Saves.

Most of the work on NG since last year has been under the hood, with that work continuing throughout March. We did recently announce new keyboard shortcuts for the Audio and Art Portals, though!

Other News

Low Poly Day has been officially announced for June 6th and we’re crowdfunding prize money.

CmFluffles is hosting a Clear Skies Game Jam, with a steampunk / solarpunk theme.

The Art Inspired Music Contest starts on April 18th!

I loved Trials for Miles the most, lots of references in there and it's funny too. Reminds me of a Cartoon Network show that could air on TV

HOW TO BE COOL 2 is my second favorite. Love the continuation, and it's really funny how Peeb punched his and he's like "That's *oomf* so cool... 10/10"

still vincible is my third one, just because I started getting into a bit of Invincible (too goooory, but that part of the stoooory), DoobusGoobus is funny, though the artstyle gets a bit stale after a while. Still funny and cute sometimes. (I am so lonely <3)

Congratulations to the winners and thanks to all the game devs for delivering more great games this month! I'm very surprised but pleased to see Driven Wild at the top: it's nice to see that simple arcade games are still appreciated! I'm glad that my top pick of Swordius will be getting a prize too! @Yword has really got a knack for making these stylish sword games and I'm looking forward to the next in the series. Waxweaver was also a very ambitious undertaking and it's nice to see it on Steam now, so add it to your library pronto.

Trails for Miles, definitely earned it’s first place! That bridge took them both, straight to the winner’s circle, no wonder that troll was guarding it.

It’s a masterpiece for sure; fun characters, scenes, scenario, and style. Amazing all-around!

All the other entries were fantastic, too. Especially in the Art and Movie Portals! Lots of great content!
