didn't know Luigi's Mansion has a arcade game.
Donkey Kong is really fun honestly
You have a greater chance in life of experiencing the lazarus phenomenon (Being declared dead and then living again a short brief period later) than making some earth shattering masterpiece of a work.
Mario Kart Arcade GP is pretty good ig.

The Metal Slug series.
We didn't have arcades where I grew up, so every year we went camping in italy I would flock to the arcades in those tourist-trap streets and spend my money on Metal Slug and pizza.

Sunset Riders. Fun as fuck 4 player side scroller shoot-em-up.

I've lost so much money to Time Crisis and Jurassic Park. I like coin pushers and skeeball too. Haven't made it to an arcade in a while
from memory the best arcade game is The Simpsons arcade game. I used to play this whenever we went Skegness lol because they had it in the caravan park.

I remember they had Sunset Riders in the social club near the house I grew up in. 20p a go but we still never got past the level after this which I think was on horseback chasing a train.

You'll love alien hominid if you haven't played it yet.

From off the top of my head it's gotta be Metal Slug and Crazy Taxi. Sometimes I like to jerk off NBA Jam as being the only palatable sports game for me.

Metal slug is the goat of arcade shoot em ups
In terms of obscure, radiant silver gun is a banger.
That and most fighting games on arcade.
Favorite classic arcade game: Sinistar
Favorite modern arcade game: Jubeat
Galaga full stop. My high score is 150,000
in general i love Namco's games from that time. Mappy, Pac Man, allat jazz. i played them a ton on a jakks plug and play console i had when i was little so they're super influential for me. The art and logos and graphics are so colorful and joyful and distinct, there's still nothing like them to this day
It's been a long time since I've had the opportunity to play but my heart will always belong to Pop'n Music.

Low key spent last night googling where to play this, and I don't think it exists in minnesota lmfao
House of the Dead 2. That's the only arcade game that I can remember, from some experience playing them.

those games are oldschool and really-cool.
and also, here's my favorite games
Taito's one of many underrated game
and this really obscure shoot-'em-up game (yep, i like underrated/obscure games)
Got me a good 'ol top-3. And a bit of a ramble to go with that.
-The King Of Fighters 2002
-Metal Slug 5
-Streetfighter 3 - Third Strike
KOF-02 may not be the best ballanced of the franchise, but has so many cool characters to play, and just has such nice fluid animations, in this great mix of pixelated but anime-looking artstyle. Luv it!
Metal Slug 5 just has everything that the older games have, but with an added cool sliding move (while you keep shooting too, making you feel all bad-ass) and just has the coolest rock/metal soundtrack of the series. And has some of the best 2D explosion effects of all time.
SF3 just has one of the most drop-dead gorgeous and amazingly fluid 2D sprite animations you'll ever witness (in a 2D fighting game at least). Every simple move has so many frames, and so many extra details moving allong so well, like how some of the characters clothing bounces and flaps about so much more fluid than it needed to be. It's just a very basic, traditional fighting game, all-in-all, but boy do those animations still look great to this day!

And an honorable mention for 'Taiko No Tatsujin' the rythm game where you have this big ol' japanese drum, with two sticks, to hit the middle or sides with. More comfortable and easy to play than something like Dance Dance Revolution, but just as much fun. And something easy for me to beat most of my friends at. >;)
