Lately I've been playing through this 3D platformer game called Boti: Byteland Overclocked. It's about this data bot that lives inside a computer, and must save it from a virus infection. I'm absolutely in love with the art style and characters; you can tell they really cared about all the details in it. Only real issue I have is that the optimisation on the PC version isn't the best, so don't expect to be able to max everything out, but the console version performs fairly decently from what I've heard. Even still, if you're into stylised 3D platformers, you should totally check this one out.
Here are a few screenshots I've taken during my playthrough of the Steam version of the game:

3D platformers always go under the radar compared to other video games.
Take it with a grain of salt, I am slower than a snail.

completely agree, and im kinda sad i could not seen or find more games for this genre =(
I summarize this game as a Dark Souls with 1 vs 3 players.
You should watch the trailer.

Maybe it's a wink or a reference (supposition). I haven't seen that character in the game.

By the way, the one with the red sword is actually the character that the player controls (his figure has his back turned, covering the light).

I think it was well known when it first came out but nowadays I don't see much of it other than on some mall YouTube channels
Also it's free😀
I use to play the shit out of it between 2014-2018. I recently tried it again back in 2023 or 2024 and it was very dead (no pun intended), unfortunately.
Gun bros and Gun bros 2
They were out publicly for a short timeframe in the early 2010s, then they stopped working on the appstore, then removed from the appstore pages in like 2020, and now only playable in emulation.
It is a twin stick top down shooter where you juke around enemies like puss tanks and robot crabs and shoot them on alien planets in waves. You get better loot when you take 0 damage in a wave. Bosses exist too, they are bossy bosses that you must kill, like the puss tank. Loot from level performances (caps at like 150 waves for the first world I think.) Can be used to get better guns and armor. The menus have babes (the opposite of a bro) that look smexy and help run hq. The second bro is a cpu depending on the one you chose because the emulation community has not successfully cracked the GameSpy server somthin.
there is this indie occult themed puzzle game named trismegistus i found out about from someone in an obscure games thread on agoraroad,
game was made in the sword of moonlight engine(the toolkit used by fromsoft for the king's field games). it used to be hosted on the sword of moonlight forum until the forum was wipped because of bot spam, allegedly the files are still on the forum's servers but unreachable, rendering the game lost. as far as i or that person know their copy was the only one left.
we have sense contacted myabandoneware to host the game and it is now available for anyone interested(it is oki. i am too stupid to pass the entire game lol) https://www.myabandonware.com/game/trismegistus-v9y

Sooooo... i was thinking out there what games are there that are undiscovered? are they even cool? bc you know we all know the typical Mario, Zelda, the common recommendations but... what about the games that are hidden out there... unnoticed even?
Soooo to sum it up, the purpose of this topic is to share any videogame that it's unknown and deserves much more love! it could be from any Nintendo platform, PlayStation, whatever! (including flash games (?), idk if you know any unknown game share it here!
Well Flats is very good yes and well it is a simple FPS shooter game but it is really fun yes and well not alot of people know about it but well I like it and it is very good yes
People have slept on what I consider is one of the best hardcore platformers, worthy of being in the same ranks as Super Meat Boy or Celeste. Its name is Garlic. It has like 10+ worlds each and everyone of it with different mechanics and some fun (And sometimes frustrating) mini games inbetween worlds, which are good to unwind between sections.
It is available on Steam, Switch and also on Xbox me thinks, be ware of the switch version tho, as it has a bug in one of the worlds mechanics where a bubble that's supposed to move you upwards doesn't work and it pops before it could lift you up, apparently is something about the colission, and since the dev is currently working on other games fixing that particular version of the game isn't the priority sadly.
Aside from that hiccup, I do believe this game is worth your time if you love this genre of games. It has cool music, you feel like a fucking ninja when going through the levels, you can see the clear inspiration from Akira Toiryama's art and it has TWO very cheesy songs with lyrics.
If you like fast FPS (like doom) and synthwave, I can recommend you Desync.
The gameplay is super fun cool and tricky, plus the OST are awsome!
Spy Mouse, I've never seen anyone talk about this game ever (probably because it has been cursed with EA and deleted sadly)

OMFG, I REMEMBER ACTUALLY 100% THE GAME WHEN I WAS 11 YEARS OLD. is honestly wonderfull to know that people remembers how creative this game was. =)

If the once most popular YouTuber of all time played it, somehow I don't think that's obscure. Forgetting stuff that was once popular is not obscure, that's just bad memory.
Ah
Well I think this one's obscure
It's a PS2 game by Bungie ive been playing recently
It's got a good combat system
Level design is shit tho

I remember the game Tilelander on my Nokia phone. I loved it so much.
Just learned that (a build of) Cortex Command is free and open-source.
It amaze how much cool games are here tbh... since we're here i'll add my 2 cents to the topic with 2 DS games
-Touch Detective:
It's a point and click adventure where we solve absurd cases in order to join on a detective organization, i could say that it's my guilty pleasure since you know? it could be kinda cryptic a lot of times (specially in the first game sdjnasjkdn) but at the end of the day is fun bc the characters are super silly and the cases are super fun (also i gotta mention that it's kinda episodic sooo some events doesn't matter at all soooo you can jump directly to the 2 or 3 since these are the most fun of all lmao)
-Monster Tale
Sooo basically is a castlevania mixed with Digimon, gotta replay it bc i don't remember much but it's a fun castlevania where you have to feed and care your creature in order to evolve, you can choose if your creature can be fire or wood, whatever works more for u, also has a great battle system soooo yeh, give it a try, it's suuuper fun to play and the story is kinda interesting too!
Not necessarily hidden, not necessarily unknown, but I've recently finished Bastard Bonds and it's a really good RPG. You arrive at an island, you beat up scummy monsters, you hire some guys and form a crew à la One Piece and your goal is to find a ship to leave the island. Not showing any of it because of its very homoerotic nature, which is sadly why the game is so obscure, but I will share the amazing review that made me want to try this game out.
A game I never see anyone mention is Sigma Star Saga.
It's a SCI-FI GBA game but it's a bit of a hybrid.
Where there's an overworld rpg feel to it, where you travel through different planets trying to deal with an overarching storyline.
The Hybrid part is, instead of regular encounters where you fight monsters in a turn based rpg, it becomes a side scrolling ship shooter game.
Every random encounter is a side scrolling ship shooter.
I'm not sure if i should go into details of the premise, or if it's better to not mention it XD
But for what it's worth the game shall be getting ported to the PC and other consoles later this year :O
(I seriously hope that means they address the GAME BREAKING bug that's far into the game)
They're visual novels but are only really known in the indie visual novel sphere. Still, they're quite short and fairly interesting if you're the kind of person that likes playing games where fruit themed witches try to shove you in an oven. I don't think they're "hidden" enough to classify though, considering it has a little fanbase that shows up on google images (I think it grew quite a bit when Berrywitched was remade into an RPG) but it's not mainstream indie so I'm counting it anyway.
Haven't played the remake of Berrywitched so idk if that's good or not but it seems quite beefy for a browser game, from what I've gathered.
I could also list a bunch of random flash games that I used to play but I think they're all gone now.

Here's all I'd found, only just 12 forgotten games, no less and no more.
↓ the list of games' names if you wanna read this and not the image ↓
Don-Doko-Don, Liquid Kids, Tinkle Pit, J.J Squawker, Penguin Brothers, Snow bros 2 (Otenki Paradise/with new elves), Wiz 'N Liz, Tumble Pop, Doremi Fantasy - Milon's Quest, Diet Go Go, Harmful Park, and finally Super Bust-a-Move or in other word Super Puzzle Bobble.
I would like to mention one of my favorite and at the same time the most unknown game. I bet none of you have heard of the Q.U.B.E. series.
This series, consisting of almost only two parts, captivated me with its plot, atmosphere, and especially soundtracks, which I included in my personal "top 3 best game soundtracks".
This is a puzzle game, where you have to solve puzzles in a place made entirely of cubes using special gloves. And all this is seasoned with a tense but very exciting plot. Personally, I am very disappointed that so few people know about such a wonderful game. But I hope it will be of interest to some of you.

The puzzle game with hand tools in space that people were fooled into thinking was Portal 3 due to comparable elements?
Never heard of it
