Introducing... The Pencil 2D Collab!

An animation collab where all of it's done using Pencil 2D!

JOINING

Post your finished animation in this Google form. Animation file names should be formatted as "username(s).mp4" Multiple users are allowed per project, just say which ones in the form.

SPECIFICATIONS

Length: 10-90 Seconds*

Frame Rate: 24 FPS

Dimensions: 1920x1080

Format: MP4

*This can be discussed

RULES

No NSFW! The collab is aimed at a T Rating.

No use of AI! Text-To-Speech is still allowed.

No low effort animations! Put some effort into it, man!

No copyrighted audio! Use audio from the audio portal or royalty free music.

DEADLINE

February 1st 2025

This gives you more than enough time to work on your animation.

I forgot to mention this, but make sure to include the .pclx file so I can make sure your animation was made in Pencil2D!

I was talking about the animation part. You can do post-processing if you want, just nothing too crazy.

I'm currently working for this collab, but I have one quick question. Is it ok to combine multiple .pclx files together in a video editor (for dynamic purposes), or do you have to use only one file for the collab? Just wondering.

As long as you submit one video file and the .pclx files in the form, it’s all good :)

Are we allowed to collaborate with other animators on this project? I'd love to participate in this event, but I will also be juggling a lot of other projects so splitting the workload with someone else would be a lifesaver and also be a cool challenge in itself.

Yes. Just list the other animator's username in the form. Make sure they have a newgrounds account.

No. All of the animation/art parts are supposed to be done in pencil 2d.

My PC is 32-bit and my pencil 2d is the latest 32-bit version, and the resolution is only 800*600. When I export it, I change it to 1920*1080 and it widens and looks strange. Could I make it in like 1400*1200?

Double click the "Camera Layer" and you can change the resolution there
